Freddy Rodriguez Wiki Biography
Freddy Rodriguez was born on the 17th January 1975, in Chicago, Illinois USA, of Puerto Rican ancestry. He is an actor, probably best recognized for starring in the role of Federico ‘Rico’ Diaz in the TV series “Six Feet Under” (2001-2005), playing Giovanni ‘Gio’ Rossi in the TV series “Ugly Betty” (2007-2010), and as Benny Colón in the TV series “Bull” (2016-2017). He is also known as a producer. His acting career has been active since 1994.
So, have you ever wondered how rich Freddy Rodriguez is, as of mid-2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that the total size of Freddy’s net worth is over $3 million, accumulated not only through his successful career as an actor, but also through his career as a producer.
Freddy Rodriguez spent his childhood in his hometown in the Bucktown neighborhood, where he was raised in a Roman Catholic family by his mother, who was a housewife, and his father, who worked as a janitor. At the age of 13, he won a scholarship for the Pulaski International School of Chicago through a theater program for inner-city youth. Later, he attended Lincoln Park High School, where he became a graduate of the drama program.
Thus, Freddy’s professional acting career began right after his matriculation, when he made his debut appearance in the role of Young Terry Griff in the film “The Fence” (1994), which was followed by playing Pedro Aragon, Jr. in the film “A Walk In The Clouds”, starring alongside Keanu Reeves and Giancarlo Giannini, and the role of Jose in a film entitled “Dead Presidents”, both in 1995. His next major role came two years later, when he was cast as Joey Casale in Anthony Caldarella’s film “My Brother Jack”, after which he starred in the 1998 film “Joseph’s Gift”, portraying Joseph Keller. By the end of the decade, Freddy had also appeared as Albert in several episodes of the TV series “Party Of Five” (1999) and playing Leonel Sandoval in the 2000 film “For Love Or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story”, starring alongside Andy Garcia and Gloria Estefan. All of these appearances added a considerable amount to his net worth.
The new millennium didn’t change too much for Freddy, as he continued to line up successes which considerably increased his net worth and his popularity. In 2001, he starred in the role of Topo in the film entitled “Beyond The City Limits”, and was chosen to portray Federico ‘Rico’ Diaz in the TV series “Six Feet Under”, which lasted until 2005. When the series ended, Freddy appeared as Mike Alonzo in the film “Harsh Times” (2005), alongside Eva Longoria, after which he did a voice over in the animated TV series “Teen Titans” (2005-2006). He also starred in other film titles, including the role of Marco Valentin in “Poseidon” (2006), playing Reggie in “Lady In The Water” (2006), and as Jesse Rodriguez in “Nothing Like The Holidays” (2008). Moreover, Freddy won the role of Giovanni ‘Gio’ Rossi in the hit TV series “Ugly Betty”, which was aired from 2007 to 2010.
In 2011, Freddy was cast as Rick Martinez in the TV series “Chaos” for a season. To speak further about his career, he also did a voice-overs in such TV series as “Generator Rex” (2011-2013) and “Kaijudo: Rise Of The Duel Masters” (2012-2013), among others. Most recently, he appeared in the role of Michael Ragosa in the TV series “The Night Shift” (2014-2015), and as Benny Colón in the TV series “Bull” (2016-2017). So, his net worth is certainly rising.
Additional to his acting career, Freddy has become also known as a producer – he was an associate producer on the 2003 film “Red Zone”, and in 2008 the executive producer of “Nothing Like The Holidays”. Most recently, he produced two short films – “Mediation” (2014) and “Nelson Bixby Takes On The Whole Wide World” (2016). All of these projects contributed to his wealth.
If to talk about his personal life, Freddy Rodriguez has been married to Elsie Rodriguez since 1995. The couple has two sons together; one of them is Giancarlo Rodriguez, who began acting with his father in “Six Feet Under”.
