So, have you ever wondered how rich Frank Iero is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that the total size of Frank’s net worth is over $16 million, an amount which has been accumulated through his successful career in the music industry.
Frank Iero spent most of his childhood in Kearny, New Jersey, where he was raised by his mother, Linda, as she divorced his father when Frank was a baby. However, his father and grandfather were musicians, and they had a huge influence on him, so he soon began to play guitar. By the age of 11, Frank was performing with local bands, and became the frontman of Pencey Prep, a punk band. He went to a Catholic school, after which he enrolled on a scholarship at Rutgers University; however, he soon quit education, and his career in the music industry began.
While Frank played with Pencey Prep, they released an album entitled “Heartbreak In Stereo” via Eyeball Records, and he met all of the members of the My Chemical Romance band – Gerard Way, Mikey Way and Ray Toro. Thus, when Pencey Prep disbanded, Frank performed with such bands as Hybrid, I Am A Graveyard and Sector 12, until he was hired to become the rhythm guitarist in My Chemical Romance in 2002. Since then, his career has only gone upwards, as well as his net worth.
The band’s debut album was released in 2002, entitled “I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love”, which was a failure, but it didn’t stop Frank for pursuing further his musical dreams. Its second album named “Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge” came out in 2004, which received three times platinum certification, peaking No. 28 on the US Billboard 200 chart, and adding a considerable amount to Frank’s net worth. Two years later, they released their third album “The Black Parade” (2006), which went nine times platinum, winning the Platinum Europe Award, and it reached No. 1 on the US Rock Albums chart and No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart. The band’s fourth and last studio album, entitled “Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys”, came out in 2010, increasing further his net worth. However, three years later My Chemical Romance split up.
While he played in My Chemical Romance, Frank was also a member of another band called Leathermouth, a hardcore punk quintet, until they disbanded in 2010. At that time, Frank started a solo career too, releasing the bonus track “This Song Is A Curse” as a part of the official soundtrack to the film “Frankenweenie” (2012), directed by Tim Burton. In the same year, Frank released the EP – “For Jamia…”, and two years later a single called “B.F.F.”. He also founded the Death Spells band, which released “Nothing Above, Nothing Below” in 2016. All of these projects contributed significantly to his net worth.
