Flo Rida Wiki Biography
Tramar Lacel Dillard was born on 16 September 1979, in Carol City, Florida USA, and is a rapper widely known under the name of Flo Rida, who came to prominence in 2008, when”Low” – his breakout single – stayed at #1 for 10 weeks in the US, breaking the then record for digital download sales.
So just how rich is Flo Rida? Authoritative sources estimate that the net worth of Flo Rida reaches the sum of $30 million, accumulated from his career in the music industry since his debut on the scene in 2000.
Flo Rida was raised with seven sisters, all of whom sang gospel. Being a high school student he was a part of the hip hop music band The 2 Live Crew, later he entered the rap band the GroundHoggz. After matriculating from high school in 1998, he briefly studied international business management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Barry University for two months. He returned to Florida to continue pursuing his music career after receiving a phone call from a representative of the independent label Poe Boy Entertainment. In 2000 Flo Rida signed with Hot Boyz, and then with Poe Boy in 2004. A promotional single entitled “Birthday” and featuring Rick Ross was released in 2005, but not until 2008 did Flo Rida add a first significant amount into his net worth, releasing his first studio album en titled ‘Mail on Sunday’, containing three successful singles – ‘Low’, ‘Elevator’ and ‘In the Ayer’ – topping in the #1 position of Australian Albums Chart, US Billboard Rap Albums, US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and US Billboard 200.
After this successful beginning Flo Rida added much to his net worth and popularity appearing as a guest in the performances of the top artists as Michelle Williams, Madonna, Rick Ross, DJ Felli and Jessica Mauboy. In 2009, his second studio album named ‘R.O.O.T.S.’ was released, and sales of the album saw it certified silver in the UK and gold in Canada and Japan. The album contained six successful singles which also increased the overall amount of Flo Rida’s net worth.
In addition, at the end of 2010 the third studio album named ‘Only One Flo’ was released; this was the least successful of all the albums released up to date, but still managed to reach 11th position on the US Rap Albums chart. Moreover, in the middle of 2012 the following studio album named ‘Wild Ones’ showed up; it contained four outstanding singles ‘I Cry’, ‘Wild Ones’, ‘Whistle’ and ‘Good Feeling’ that reached#1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 as well as did their right job increasing Flo Rida’s net worth. The album itself was certified gold in the UK and Australia and peaked on the first place of US Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums and Canadian Albums Chart, on the second of US Billboard Rap Albums and The Official UK R&B Chart. The fifth studio album ‘The Perfect 10’ is scheduled for release in late 2016 – the first two singles ‘Can’t Believe It’ and ‘How I Feel’ were released in 2013.
Flo Rida is a multiple nominee of Grammy Awards, MTV Music Awards and other international awards which have also increased Flo Rida’s popularity and net worth.
In his personal life, Flo Rida had been dating Natasha Georgette Williams but the couple broke up in 2014. As the couple has a child together Flo Rida was forced to pay a child support after his ex-girlfriend went to court.

Flo Rida Quotes
- The fans are always at the hotel waiting, they like to get pictures and autographs. I enjoy it all, the displays of love and support at the hotel and the shows.
- I’m not the only one in the studio a lot of times, so I have my boys in there and they’ll tell me and give me their suggestions and what they think.
- I’ve always known, before I had a record deal, that the thing is to go out and put on the show. I’ve been doing that from day one.
- It’s always overwhelming when you come to another country and you’re embraced in such a positive way.
- Music was definitely a way out. Instead of playing basketball, I was going to recording studios.
- If they can go out and buy my albums, I can at least make the sacrifice to holler at the few people who call. A lot of times I’m busy so they’ll get my voice mail. And if I can speak to them and I have time, I always text back. Because I think that’s very important.
- I went on tour with Beyonce before. I wouldn’t mind doing something with her.
- I wouldn’t mind working with Outkast. I’m a big fan of them.
- I write all the time, even if it means recording in the hotel room. I write on the plane, anywhere, anytime I’m inspired or have ideas.
- I’m a huge fan of Taio Cruz. I’m really liking what he’s doing at the moment. I’d love to do something with him.
- I’m influenced by all types of music.
- At the end of the day I want to be the guy who experienced music in all type of ways, with hip-hop being the roots of it.
- I definitely want my fans to know that I’m here to stay, and I’m going to continue to give them hot music.
- I like to take music from everywhere and put it in my style and let it be accepted.
