Fergie Wiki Biography
Fergie Duhamel, to the audience known as Fergie, is a famous American singer, musician, television presenter, voice actress, songwriter, actress, as well as a fashion designer. Fergie is perhaps best known as a member of a popular hip hop group, which consists of Will.i.am, Taboo and apl.de.ap called “The Black Eyed Peas”. The group was founded in 1995, however, they did not reach their mainstream and commercial success until they released their third studio album called “Elephunk”. With more than 3 million copies sold in the United States alone, “Elephunk” became the key to success for “The Black Eyed Peas”. Ever since their debut in the music industry, “The Black Eyed Peas” has released seven studio albums and created such songs as “Where Is the Love?”, which received two nominations for Grammy Awards, “My Humps”, “Boom Boom Pow” that sold more than 6 million copies in the United States, as well as a popular single “I Gotta Feeling”, which was awarded with a Grammy for Best Pop Performance. In total, the group has sold more than 76 million records and become one of the best-selling groups of all time.
A famous singer, how rich is Fergie? According to sources, Fergie’s net worth is estimated to be $30 million. Undoubtedly, the majority of Fergie’s net worth and wealth comes from her singing, as well as acting career.
Fergie was born in 1975, in Hacienda Heights, California, where she studied at Mesa Robles Middle School and continued her studies at the Glen A. Wilson High School. Prior to “The Black Eyed Peas” and major commercial success, Fergie was doing a lot of voiceovers and gave voice to various cartoon characters, including those featured in “Peanuts”, “Snoopy’s Getting Married, Charlie Brown”, as well as “The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show”. After that, Fergie went on to star in a kid’s show called “Kids Incorporated” and in 1991 created a pop vocal group “Wild Orchid”. The band soon debuted with their self-titled album, which peaked at #1 on the charts and inspired them to create more content. However, their second studio work, “Oxygen”, turned out to be a commercial failure, and soon after that Fergie left the group.
In 2003, Fergie was asked by will.i.am to take part in a song of “The Black Eyed Peas” called “Shut Up” and she eventually joined the group. Ever since then, Fergie has been enjoying the commercial and mainstream success, as well as a lot of media attention.
Even though Fergie is known as a part of “The Black Eyed Peas”, she was able to begin her own business ventures too. In 2006, she released her debut solo album called “The Dutchess”, which spawned five singles, and a few years later came out with her own fragrant perfume called “Oustpoken”. In addition to that, Fergie has been appearing on television screens in such projects as “The Cleveland Show”, a musical drama film “Nine” with Daniel Day-Lewis, “Marmaduke” with Lee Pace, Owen Wilson and Sam Elliott, as well as “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve”.
