Eve Marie Torres Wiki Biography
Eve Marie Torres, born on the 21st of August, 1984, is an American actress, former professional wrestler, Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert, and event manager, who became famous as one of the Divas in World Wrestling Entertainment.
So how much is Torres’ net worth? As of mid-2017, based on authoritative sources it is reported to be $1.8 million acquired from her years working as a professional wrestler and her years as a dancer, which began around 2005.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Torres spent most of her time growing up in Denver, Colorado. She has always been fond of dancing and didn’t give up on her passion even while in college. She attended the University of Southern California on a full scholarship, graduating with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. While in college, she still managed to dance and even appeared in various music videos and commercials. She became a member USC’s Fly Girls dance squad, and participated in The Southern California Summer Pro League, the National Basketball Association’s only summer league.
Right after graduation, Torres continued her passion for dancing and pursued it full time while also modelling. In 2006, she became a member of the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers Spirit Dance Team, spending one year dancing for the team. Her early years in dancing helped set up her career and net worth.
In 2007, Torres joined the “Diva Search” of WWE, outlasting 50 other women and eventually winning the competition, and becoming a member of the WWE Diva family. Right after winning, she began training at Ohio Valley Wrestling.
In 2008, Torres made her debut in WWE as an interviewer backstage. Some of her feats during her time in WWE included winning the WWE Divas Championship in 2010, holding the title for 69 days. She once again won the title the following year in Royal Rumble in January of 2011, and held the title until April.
In 2012, Torres was given a different storyline and appeared as an Executive Administrator in RAW and Smackdown. Her character evolved and she also became an Assistant General Manager. That same year, she once again won the Divas Championship at the Night of Champions, making it her third. The following year, she decided to leave WWE to focus on her career with the Gracie Women Empowered self-defense program as an instructor. Her time in WWE helped catapult her career to new heights, and tremendously increased her net worth.
After her life as a Diva, Torres continued to appear in various television shows, including “Deal or No Deal”, “Extreme Weight Loss”, “Stars Earn Stripes”, and “Attack of the Show”, steadily adding to her net worth. Torres also became an actress, and appeared in the movie “The Scorpion King 4: Quest for Power”, and the series “Matador” and “Supergirl”. Her various endeavours also helped increase her wealth.
Today, Torres is keeping herself busy as a trainer and spokeswoman for the Gracie Women Empowered self-defense program, holding a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She also opened her own business “inJOY The Party”, and now works as an event manager with her sister-in-law.
In terms of her personal life, Torres has been married to Jiu-Jitsu Rener Gracie since 2014, and together they have a son, Raeven, and reside in Torrance, California.
