Emma Roberts Wiki Biography
Emma Rose Roberts was born on 10 February 1991, in Rhinebeck, New York State USA, into a family of actors, so unsurprisingly she is now a well-known actress, singer, songwriter, voice actress and model, but perhaps best known for appearing in the 2004 Nickelodeon TV series entitled “Unfabulous”, in which she depicted one of the main characters, Addie Singer.
How rich is Emma Roberts? According to sources, as of late 2017 Emma Roberts’ net worth is estimated to be over $20 million, a remarkable sum that she has mostly accumulated from her relatively short acting and singing career which spans barely a decade.
A daughter of Eric Roberts and a niece of Julia Roberts, Emma Roberts began her acting career at the age of nine by portraying the role of Kristina Jung, a daughter of Johnny Depp’s character, in the 2001 drama “Blow”. Her subsequent appearance in “Unfabulous” proved to be so popular that Emma received several Teen Choice, Young Artist and Kid’s Choice Awards nominations. In addition to the series that lasted for three seasons from 2004 ’til 2007, Columbia Records together with Nick Records released the official soundtrack for the series entitled “Unfabulous and More”, which was also Roberts’ debut album, and peaked at #46 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers, adding to Emma Roberts’ growing net worth.
Following the success of the Nickelodeon TV series, in 2006 Emma Roberts starred in Elizabeth Allen’s “Aquamarine” alongside Sara Paxton and singer Jojo. In 2007, Emma Roberts received a Young Artist Award for Best Supporting Young Actress in a Feature Film for her role in “Aquamarine”, after which she appeared in several movies, switching to theatrical films, and later returning to television. Some of the movies Roberts has starred in include Garry Marshall’s “Valentine’s Day”, Joel Schumacher’s “Twelve” alongside Chace Crawford, “We’re the Millers” in which she starred with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis, and Wes Craven’s “Scream 4”. Emma also starred in the popular American TV series “American Horror Story”. The premiere of the 3rd season of the show, in which Roberts appeared as Madison Montgomery, reached the impressive number of 5.54 million viewers. During her career, Emma Roberts has been nominated for several awards, including Favorite Movie Star, Favorite TV Actress, Female Star Of Tomorrow and others.
Even though most of Emma Robert’s net worth comes from her acting career, she is also associated with Neutrogena beauty products, and in 2009 was named the Brand Ambassador for the company.
In her personal life, Emma Roberts has previously dated actors Alex Pettifer, Dathan Kuppin and Chord Overstreet, before dating actor Evan Peters in 2012; they became engaged in 2013, and after a sometimes heated on-off relationship, that remains the situation as of late 2017.
Despite her wealth, Emma Roberts does not own expensive houses or yachts and does not possess many cars. Instead, she spends her salary on clothing such as sandals, shorts, fashionable dresses, designer shoes and luxurious jewelry. Emma’s sense of fashion earned her a place on the Teen Vogue’s Best Dressed List in June 2007, September 2008, December 2008 and February 2009.
A 23 year-old star with an impressive net worth, Emma Roberts is also something of a philanthropist, and has been doing charity work, with major contributions to the Children’s Cancer Research Fund. Emma Roberts raised $3.5 million for this charity when she hosted a star-studded charity sale.

Emma Roberts Quotes
- She made being strange both beautiful and cool. She’s a trend setter without even trying. [About her acting idol, Winona Ryder]
- (on accusations of nepotism) A lot of people think that and they talk about nepotism which I think is so ridiculous considering it’s obviously not true, because I’ve auditioned for so many things and never gotten the part. Also it’s like, you know, maybe someone can get you one part but they can’t really get you ten parts.
- I want to do something in fashion that wouldn’t be cheesy. I wouldn’t do, like, Emma Roberts for Target.
- I’ve Netflixed all of the Gwyneth Paltrow movies. I’m a huge fan of hers. She’s kind of my idol at the moment. I really like Kirsten Dunst. She did a lot of cool, fun teen movies, and she’s also done some serious roles. I like her style, and I think she seems pretty interesting — on actors that inspire her.
- I think there are a lot of people out there who say the really low blow of “She’s just in the business because of her family”. I do it because I love to do it. There have been a lot of parts I’ve been up for that I haven’t gotten. I don’t get everything handed to me like some people think. I mean, people say, “Oh, do you feel like you’re living in Julia’s shadow?” I don’t at all, because I’m not trying to be her. I’m just being myself and doing what I want to do. I’m having a lot of fun, and I feel like I am making a name for myself, as well — on being treated differently for being related to Julia Roberts.
- My most prized possession, though, is an autographed picture of Rupert Grint, who plays “Ron Weasley” in the “Harry Potter” films.
- I was so young, I didn’t understand that I was working with one of the best actors, ever, until later [on working with Johnny Depp in Blow (2001)].
