He is the younger brother of the late actor Patrick Swayze. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Don Swayze? As of mid-2017, sources estimate a net worth that is at $5 million, mostly earned through a successful career in acting which began in the early 1980s. Some of his projects include “The Young and the Restless” as well as guest appearances in popular shows such as “The X Files”. As he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.
Don started his acting career in the 1980s, making an appearance in the film “Urban Cowboy”, a romantic drama featuring John Travolta and Debra Winger. He then got more opportunities, including in “Father for Charlie” and “Shy People” playing Mark. He had a lot of television work too, including being cast in two soap operas “The Young and the Restless” and “Days of Our Lives”, which he continues to be a part of. He also made multiple appearances in various popular shows including “Murder She Wrote”, “NCIS”, “Carnivale”, “NYPD Blue” and “The X Files”. All of these opportunities started to increase his net worth.
A few of his notable roles include playing a mentally handicapped man suspected of murder in “Matlock”, also as Jesse James in “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”. He had a recurring role in “Criminal Minds” playing the alternate personality of serial killer Tobias Hankel, and a small guest role in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” as a crazy boat captain. Other projects he appeared in include “Sons of Anarchy” and “Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction”, all adding steadily to his net worth.
In 2001, Swayze made his way on stage in a production of “Man of La Mancha’ playing the role of Pedro. Four years later, he was cast in the comedy “Lone Star” at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, and in 2011 appeared in the original stage play “Jane Fonda: In the Court of Public Opinion” alongside Anne Archer. The following year he was cast in the western-noir film “Heathens and Thieves”, and starred in “Death Ring” and “Alamo: Price of Freedom”. One of his latest projects is a short stint in “General Hospital” in which he played the role of Buzz. He also had a non-speaking part in the first episodes of “LA Law”, in which he portrayed an abuser and rapist. His net worth has continued to build thanks to these projects.
