Ken Schrader started racing in 1971 and was a champion at Lake Hill Speedway in Valley Park, before moving up to sprint cars. In 1980, Ken was the rookie of the year in USAC’s Stock Car Division, and a year later finished third overall. He made several pole positions in the next few years; in 2001, he was involved in an accident in which Dale Earnhardt crashed into the wall and died.
In 2003, Ken joined BAM Racing, but he hasn’t recorded any notable results since then, and has changed teams several times, including to Wood Brothers Racing and Bobby Hamilton Racing, but returned to BAM Racing in 2008 and competed for them until 2013.
