Debra Messing Wiki Biography
Debra Lyn Messing was born on 15 August 1968, in Brooklyn, New York City USA, of Jewish/Polish and Russian descent. She is a very successful and famous actress, who gained her fame through appearing in such television shows and movies as “The Starter Wife”, “Will & Grace”, “The Wedding Date”, and “Nothing like the Holidays”.
So how rich is Debra Messing? It is estimated that Debra’s net worth is $18 million. There is no explanation needed from where this money was accumulated as it is pretty clear that all Debra’s success came from roles in movies and television shows. While Debra continues her acting career, her net worth only grows now that she has started acting on Broadway as well.
When Debra Messing was studying at East Greenwich High School, she appeared in different events at the school, singing and acting. Debra was quite good, and also liked being the centre of attention, so she decided to improve her dancing, acting and singing skills. Debra graduated from Brandeis University with a BA, and then studied at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a Master of Fine Arts degree, learning more secrets of acting and performing along the way. In 1995 Debra acted in her first movie, called “Walk in the Clouds”, where she had an opportunity to meet such actors as Keanu Reeves, Anthony Quinn, Giancarlo Giannini and others. Although in only a supporting role, she still received a lot of praise and got her noticed, meaning a lot to her at that time. This movie also marked the start of Debra Messing’s net worth’s growth. One of her most famous roles was as Grace Adler in almost 200 episodes of the TV series entitled “Will & Grace”, which aired from 1998 until 2006, and which had a huge impact on the growth of Messing’s net worth. Other shows and movies that Debra has appeared in include “Jesus”, “Lucky You”, “Like Sunday, Like Rain”, “Prey”, “King of the Hill” and others. All these appearances made Debra’s net worth grow.
Overall, Debra Messing has appeared in almost 20 films, and over 300 episodes of various TV series. Debra has not only been acclaimed by her fans all over the world, but her work has also been acknowledged by different awards. Some of them include Screen Actors Guild Award, TV Guide Award, Satellite Award and others. Recently, Debra decided to check her talent in another sphere: acting on stage, something she hadn’t done since the early 90s. This decision will probably also be successful in her career.
While talking about Debra Messing’s personal life, it can be said that she was married to popular actor Daniel Zelman(2000-2012) – they have one son. Later she had a relationship with Will Chase but it did not last long.
All in all, Debra Messing is a spectacular woman, who now has many fans all over the world and whose talent is acclaimed among others in the industry. If she continues acting, there is a high chance that Debra’s net worth will grow.
