Daniel Alan Maman Wiki Biography
Daniel Alan Maman was born on 25 October 1977, in Beverly Hills, California USA, of Israeli descent. Known professionally as The Alchemist, he is known as a record producer, disk jockey and rapper. He was part of the hip hop duo The Whooliganz and is also responsible for producing many hip hop hits during the 2000s. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.
How rich is The Alchemist? As of mid-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $5 million, mostly earned through a successful career in the music industry which began in the early ‘90s. He continues to produce for many artists, even entire albums for rappers. He also composed the score for the video game “GTA V”, and as he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will increase.
Maman grew up listening to hip-hop songs, and then started writing lyrics, joining up with other like-minded artists. In 1991, he teamed up with Scott Caan to form the duo The Whooliganz and they attracted the attention of B-Real, which led them to join the crew The Soul Assassins. They released their first single two years later, however, due to little airplay, their album was shelved, and so The Alchemist focused more on learning the process of making hip-hop beats, how to use the mixing board and sampler, before starting to produce for the group Dilated Peoples.
This led to more production work which increased his net worth, including helping produce for Mobb Deep, and then went for other successful artists such as Snoop Dogg as well as Jadakiss. He also remixed songs for artists of other genres.
In 1999, The Alchemist produced tracks for Ras Kass’ upcoming album, however, Ras’ record label only paid half what was needed and started to ignore him. He then offered the beat to other artists and Ras tried to counter it to no avail, but they eventually reconciled. The Alchemist ventured into the video game industry, helping produce music for “Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars”., and also became the official DJ of Eminem. He continued doing collaborative work in the next few years, working for Prodigy, Fashawn, and Curren$y, and also produced for Domo Genesis, 9Five Eyewear, and Action Bronson which resulted in albums as well as mixtapes.
In 2013, he helped produce the original score for the hit video game “Grand Theft Auto V” in collaboration with Oh No and Tangerine Dream. A few of his latest projects include working with Jay Worthy and Havoc. He was also reported to have been working on a collaboration album with Mobb Deep, and another untitled project with Roc Marciano, however, very little details have been released about them or if they will continue. Despite that, his net worth continues to build.
For his personal life, there is no public information on his private life, but is assumed to be single. it is known that Alchemist was hospitalized in 2005 while touring with Eminem after their tour bus turned over. He’s also known for using a musical signature for many songs he produces; the sound is usually a distorted voice recording of the word “Alchemist”.
