Dale Adam Dye Jr. Wiki Biography
Dale Adam Dye Jr. was born on the 8th October 1944, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri USA and, apart from being a former US Marines Corps captain, is also a businessman, actor as well as an author. Dale is renowned for appearing in movies such as “Platoon” (1986), “Natural Born Killers”(1994) and “Saving Private Ryan” (1998) as well as for publishing several novels including “Run Between the Raindrops”. He is also the founder and the owner of Warriors, Inc. – a Hollywood technical advisor company.
Have you ever wondered how much wealth this soldier-turned-actor has accumulated so far? How rich Dale Dye is? According to sources, it is estimated that the total of Dale Dye’s net worth, as of mid-2017, revolves around the sum of $3 million, acquired through his on-camera appearances, business endeavors and book publishing.
Dale was born to Della Grace Koehler and Dale Adam Dye Sr. who was a liquor salesman. From an early age, Dale dreamed of becoming a soldier so when he was old enough, he enrolled at the St. Joseph’s Military Academy in Chicago, Illinois. He later attended the Missouri Military Academy after which he joined the US Marine Corps in 1964. Within the next year, he was deployed to Vietnam where he also served as a combat correspondent for the next couple of years, participating in over 30 crucial combat operations. After Vietnam, Dye served in Beirut and later Lebanon, and gained the rank of Master Sergeant. After almost 20 years spent in the Marines, during which he also obtained University of Maryland’s Bachelor of Arts degree in English language, in 1984 Dale retired from his military service. However, this two-decade-long engagement provided the basis for Dale Dye’s net worth.
Upon retirement, he founded Warriors, Inc. – a company specialized in providing realistic acting training for war scenes and movies. As its CEO, Dye is one of the leading Hollywood’s military consultants. He debuted as an actor in 1986 when he appeared in “Invaders from Mars” Sci-Fi movie. Later that year he made a memorable performance as Captain Harris in the first part of Oliver Stone’s war drama movie trilogy “Platoon”. Through the rest of the 1980s as well as 1990s, Dye maintained a continuous streak of acting engagements, mainly in small, military roles, appearing in Hollywood blockbusters including “JFK” (1991), “Mission: Impossible” (1996) and “Starship Troopers” (1997). It is certain that all these involvements helped Dale Dye to significantly improve the total amount of his revenues.
Apart from the big screen, Dye has also added several TV roles to his portfolio – he was cast for the television series “Band of Brothers”, “Rocket Power”, “Commander in Chief” as well as “Entourage” and “Falling Skies” among a handful of others. Besides his on-camera engagements, he also voice-acted in several video games including several sequels of the “Medal of Honor” franchise and “Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway”. All these ventures added a notable sum to the total size of Dale Dye’s net worth.
Dye also served as a journalist for Soldier of Fortune magazine, as well as military commentator for Los Angeles’ KFI AM 640 radio station, and The History Channel’s documentary series host. Since his retirement from the Marines, Dye has published almost a dozen novels of which the most popular, apart from the one already mentioned above, are “Outrage”, “Platoon” and “Conduct Unbecoming” and is also the co-author of graphic novel series “Code Word: Geronimo”. Doubtlessly, all these accomplishments have helped Dale Dye to further boost not only his popularity but his wealth as well.
When it comes to his personal life, Dale Dye has married three times – ’til 1979 he was married to Margaret Chavez. In 1983 he married Kathryn Clayton with whom he welcomed a son Christopher who is a music composer and a daughter Adrienne Kate Dye who is an actress. However, this marriage ended with a divorce too. Since 2006, Dye has been married to Julia Dye.

Dale Adam Dye Jr. Quotes
- The military is probably the best school in the world for an actor. You have to sublimate your own personality and become something else. I’m good at that.
- A great number of the war films I saw, however, didn’t match my own experience… The uniforms were pressed, the guys were clean, and they reacted in such a heroic fashion to life in extremes. No matter what Sir Laurence Olivier had to say, it isn’t just acting when something is so out of your frame of reference. You have to have an idea of what the truth is. Nobody did.
