Ferguson grew up in Montreal, but attended Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario, before Montreal’s McGill University. His career in the entertainment industry started by performing with the improv group called On the Spot in Montreal. He made his television debut in the mid-’90s, appearing in series such as “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” and “The Hunger”, as well as in television films including “Texas Graces” and “A Prayer In the Dark”. In 2000 Ferguson was cast in the short-lived ABC sitcom “Then Came You”, playing the role of Lewis Peters, which greatly contributed to his popularity and to his wealth as well.
