Have you ever wondered how rich Chris Mullin is, as of mid-2016? According to authoritative sources, Mullin’s estimated net worth is $18 million. In addition to his basketball career as a player, Mullin was also a General Manager of the Golden State Warriors (2001-2009) and an advisor of the Sacramento Kings in 2013. He has also worked as an analyst for ESPN. Mullin started his coaching career in 2015 at his college, St. John’s. These jobs helped him increase his wealth.

Chris Mullin grew up in Brooklyn, and always had a dream to be like his idols Walt Frazer, Earl Monroe, and Larry Bird. He used to travel to the Bronx and Harlem to play basketball against the best players in New York, playing in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, and was invited to join Lou Carnesecca’s basketball camp. He started his high school career at Power Memorial Academy before switched it for Xaverian High School. Lou Carnesseca recruited him to play at St. John’s University in 1981, and Mullin was excellent in his freshman year, averaging 16.6 points per game. He was Big East Player of the Year three times and won the gold medal with the US team at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Chris Mullin graduated in 1985, and is still St. John’s all-time leading scorer with 2440 points.

The Golden State Warriors selected him with the No. 7 pick in the 1985 NBA Draft. In his first three seasons at the club, Mullins was primarily used as a shooting guard under head coach George Karl. In the 1987-1988 season, Don Nelson took over as a head coach and transferred Mullin to the small forward position; Mullin has admitted that he was an alcoholic in his third season, and was suspended before going into rehab. Chris had his best playing years from 1988 to 1993 when he averaged 25+ points and five rebounds per game, and was a member of the famous US “Dream Team” which won the gold medal at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, averaging 12.9 points per game.

However, he was never the same player after 1993, as injuries mounted and the Warriors organization centered the team on Latrell Sprewell. Mullin was traded to the Indiana Pacers in 1997, and played under Larry Bird, his boyhood idol. He started in all 82 regular season games, averaging 11.3 points and helped the team to reach the Eastern Conference Finals, before losing in seven games to the Chicago Bulls. Mullin was a bench player for the rest of his career in Indiana, and he finished his playing days at Golden State in 2001. Basketball made him a millionaire, but after he ended his playing career, Mullin stayed in basketball.

His loved Golden State Warriors hired him as a special assistant in 2001, and hewas promoted to Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations in 2004, leaving the position in 2009 after the Warriors opted not to renew his contract. Mullin then worked for ESPN as an analyst in 2010 and 2011 before the Sacramento Kings hired him as an advisor in 2013. Most recently, Chris accepted the head coach offer from his former college St. John’s in 2015, and he is still in the position. He has continued to generate more money to add to his net worth.Regarding his personal life, Chris Mullin has been married to Liz Mullin since 1991, and the pair has four children together.
