To begin with, Christina was interested in singing and acting from an early age. Being just nine years old, she began attending auditions, appearing in commercials. Her first leading role was landed in the Broadway musical “Annie” (1990). At just 17, she started writing songs.

Her contract with Def Jam recording company signed in 2000 is considered to be the real start of her music career. To date, Milian has released eight singles, three studio albums, 11 music videos, three soundtracks and a compilation album. The most successful singles which have received certifications for sales are the following: “When You Look at Me” (2002), “Dip It Low” (2004) featuring Fabolous and Samy Deluxe and “Hello” (2013) with Stafford Brothers & Lil Wayne. The first two studio albums also received certifications for the sales; “Christina Milian” (2001) was certified gold and “It’s About Time” (2004) – silver, both in Britain.

As an actress, Christina Milian began her career on television in 1996, appearing in episodes of various television series including “Sister, Sister” (1996), “Smart Guy” (1997), “Movie Surfers” (1998), “Clueless” (1999) and others. In 1998, she debuted on the big screen, initially in small roles in the films “The Wood” (1998), “American Pie” (1999), and “Durango Kids” (1999). In 2003, Milian starred alongside Nick Cannon in the teen comedy “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” directed by Troy Beyer.
