Christopher Wallace was born on 12 October 1947, in Chicago, Illinois USA, of Jewish descent. Chris is a journalist and anchor, best known for being the host of the program “Fox News Sunday”. He’s been with Fox News Channel for more than a decade, and won numerous awards. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Chris Wallace? As of mid-2016, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $6 million, mostly earned through a successful career in journalism. He reportedly earns around $1 million a year as part of Fox News, and he also works on the channel’s other shows. All of these have ensured the position of his wealth.

Chris is the son of reporter Mike Wallace who’s best known for reporting in the show “60 Minutes”. His parents divorced when he was young, and he grew up with his stepfather Bill Leonard, and being exposed to political journalism which helped shape his future career orientation. He attended The Hotchkiss School, and after matriculating went to Harvard College, where he would have his first experience reporting for the school’s radio station. After graduating, he was accepted at Yale Law School, but opted to take a job with The Boston Globe, seeing as he wanted to pursue a career in television journalism.

In 1975 he started working for NBC, and stayed with the network for fourteen years, working first as a reporter for WNBC-TV, and then becoming a political correspondent for “NBC News”, followed by the job as the co-anchor of the “Today” show in 1982. He also worked as a moderator for “Meet the Press”, and anchored NBC “Nightly News”. His net worth was well established.

In 1989, he left NBC to become part of ABC; he worked as a senior correspondent for “Primetime Thursday” and at times hosted the show “Nightline”. One of his most notable works was reporting the Gulf War from Tel Aviv. He worked with ABC for another 14 years, before deciding to leave the company and move to Fox News Channel. He started hosting “Fox News Sunday” in 2003 replacing Tony Snow. He also does guest appearances for Fox’s other series and is an occasional voice on Boston’s WRKO. According to Wallace, working with Fox has helped him realize the bias that exists in mainstream press.

For his journalism work, he Chris received the Paul White Award in 2013 from the Radio Television Digital News Association. He’s also won three Emmy Awards and a Dupont-Columbia Silver Baton Award.

For his personal life, it is known that Chris married Elizabeth Farell in 1973 and they have four children. They eventually divorced, and he married Lorraine Smothers in 1997. Lorraine is the former wife of comedian Dick Smothers and she has two children from that marriage.

Aside from that, Chris is a registered Democrat though he has reportedly voted for candidates from both major parties. He is also part of the Jefferson Awards for Public Service Board of Selectors.
