Chris Mortensen was born on the 7th November 1951, in Torrance, California, USA, and is a journalist best known as a sports analyst working for ESPN’s series “Sunday NFL Countdown”, “SportsCenter”, “Monday Night Countdown”, as well as on ESPN Radio and its website ESPN.com. His career has been active since 1969.

He left the Atlanta Journal Constitution in 1989, and joined the National Sports Daily, under editor Frank Deford. Thanks to his previous accomplishments as a reporter, Mortensen was approached by ESPN in 1991, and in no time became one of the best NFL analysts for the aforementioned Network. He started building his career at ESPN, and with his progress, his net worth rose immensely. He is a regular contributor to the shows such as “NFL Insiders”, “Sunday NFL Countdown”, “SportsCenter”, “Monday Night Countdown”, “NFL Live”, and many others. Furthermore, he serves as the analyst for ESPN`s coverage of the NFL Draft, which has also added to his net worth.
