Born Janney Marin Rivera on the 26th June 1985 in Los Angeles, California USA, Chiquis is a musician and television personality, but is also known to the world as the daughter of the late Mexican star Jenni Rivera, who was killed in a 2012 ‘plane crash.

The oldest of five children, she is the daughter of Jenni Rivera and José Trinidad Marín. In the late ‘90s it was discovered that Chiquis’ father molested her, and her sister and aunt as well. He left the family and ran from police for nine years, before being arrested in 2006 and sentenced to 31 years in prison without parole.

Chiquis made her first film appearance in the reality show “Chiquis & Raq-C”, which followed her mother Jenni, herself and Chiquis friend Raq-C, a radio personality.
