Chip Foose was born on the 13th October 1963, in Santa Barbara, California USA, and has earned his fame and net worth largely through the reality TV series “Overhaulin”, and also through his own automotive design company Foose Design. During his career he has collaborated with brands such as Ford, and also worked with Detroit`s Motor City Casino. His career in the automobile industry has been active since the 1990s.

Have you ever wondered how rich Chip Foose is, as of late 2017? According to sources, it is estimated that Chip’s total net worth is $18.5 million, an amount acquired through his successful career as an automotive designer and appearances on TV. During his career he has earned a number of prestigious awards, such as Most Beautiful Roadster Award several times, and Street Rod of The Year, furthermore, he was inducted into the Diecast Hall of Fame in 2009.

Chip`s love for automobiles began when he was seven years old, as he was slowly beginning to help his father in his company, Project Design, situated in Santa Barbara, California. As Foose grew, so did his involvement with and love for automobiles. Because of his affection for car design, Foose enrolled in the Art Center College of Design, from where he graduated in 1990 with a major in automotive product design.

Foose subsequently landed his first major job with Sterenberger Design, and furthermore with Boyd Coddington as a part-timer – Foose worked in Sterenberger Design until 1993, but then left to become a full-time member of the Boyd Coddington Company. During the next few years, his skills were eventually put on display throughout the world, as he rose to become the president of the company “Hot Rods”. Some of his designs for Boyd Coddington included Boydster I, Boydster II and Boyd Air. However, Foose`s collaboration with Boyd ended in 1998, due to the bankruptcy of the company.

Regardless, Foose soon formed his own company, “Foose Design”, which specializes in graphic design and complete construction and reconstruction of automobiles and related products. Ever since he started his own company, his fame and net worth have risen with every successful venture. In addition, his fruitful career has enabled him to collaborate with the Big Three automakers, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler.

In 2007, Foose began production of his own car – Hemisfear – which has also added to his net worth and fame, as the first car and its design was sold for an amazing $340,000 to the vintage car owner and collector Roger Burgess, at the Barret-Jackson car auction in Palm Beach.

Adding to his net worth, Foose appeared on the TLC documentary about his modified versions of automobiles such as a 2002 Ford Thunderbird and the Speedbird. In 2004, the documentary became a TV show entitled “Overhaulin`”, which featured Foose and his latest models and designs. It was aired until the 2008 on TLC, however, since 2012 the show has aired on the Velocity network, with all new episodes.

Overall, Foose’s career has been rather successful, as the many awards he has won testify. Other than those already mentioned, Foose has also won the Best Hot Rod at the Bilsport Performance Show in 2011, and the Best Custom Car for his modification of a 1954 Chevrolet.
