How rich is Chaz Ebert? As of early-2017, sources estimate a net worth that is at $9 million, mostly earned through success in business which began in the 1970s. She is the President of Ebert Productions and Vice President of The Ebert Company. Chaz starter her career as a lawyer and would continue to work as a trial attorney, increasing her net worth significantly. After her marriage to Roger Ebert, she started managing his business dealings in 1992. These include Ebert Digital, Ebert Productions, and The Ebert Company, so her net worth further increased thanks to these endeavors. From the time that Roger was diagnosed with cancer, it effectively took over her life, as she became his full time carer. He was diagnosed with cancer of the salivary glands and thyroid in 2002, and treatments on him resulted in him losing his lower jaw, which hampered his ability to speak or eat normally. She appeared in the 2014 documentary entitled “Life Itself” which is about Roger’s life. The couple originally worked on the documentary together before his passing. She is also a contributor to Roger Ebert’s blog and has kept it running with continued content. The couple’s life and her endeavors after his passing has been covered by numerous popular publications, including “The Huffington Post”, “Variety”, and many more.

For her personal life, it is known that Chaz married Roger in 1992 – they had met sometime earlier through mutual friends, and would become friends through emails and which then developed into a relationship, before he proposed marriage when they were in Italy. He wrote a blog post about his love for her, that would gain a lot of popularity on the internet. He would continue to write and publish even during his sickness until his death from cancer in 2013. Chaz also has two children from a previous relationship. Chaz is also very active herself on social media, having over 11,600 followers on Twitter, to which she regularly posts. She mentioned in an interview that they initially didn’t like each other’s favorite movies. However, she liked Roger’s work on Terrence Malick, and was glad that his last review was about Malick’s work. She also mentioned that the two had developed a sort of telepathic communication when they were already having trouble communicating with one another because of his disability.
