Charles Philip Arthur George, to give him his complete birth name, was born on the 14^th November, 1948 in Buckingham Palace, London, UK. He is the Prince of Wales, the first in line of succession to the throne after Queen Elizabeth II. He is also recognized as Duke of Cornwall in South-West England and as Duke of Rothesay in Scotland. Prince Charles is the oldest and longest serving heir apparent in the entire history of England, having been ‘in waiting’ since 1952.
