Charles Edward Baker Wiki Biography
Born Charles Edward Baker on the 27th February 1971, in Washington, D.C. USA, he is an actor, director, and writer, but probably best known to the world as Skinny Pete in the highly acclaimed AMC’s action crime drama series “Breaking Bad”, and as Mikey in the horror thriller film “The Neon Demon”, among other accomplishments.
Have you ever wondered how rich Charles Baker is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Baker’s wealth is as high as $600,000, an amount earned through his successful career, active since the late ‘90s.
Born in Washington, D.C., Charles actually spent the majority of his early years in Hawaii. However, by the end of his teen years, Charles had lived in England, Israel and other countries, since his father was involved in the US military as a colonel, which meant frequent moves. Charles attended several high schools, including the London Central High School in Buckinghamshire.
He wanted to train his vocal talents, and got a scholarship for Tarrant County College where he studied music, and later enrolled at the University of Texas, Arlington where he continued his music studies, but following a couple of acting engagements, his passion became acting instead of music. This led him to several successful theaters across Texas, and then eventually switching to on-screen roles.
Before he made his on-screen debut, he gave his voice to a number of characters in the English version of the manga series “One Piece: Wan pîsu” from 1999 until 2004. During this time he was trying to find a role that would launch him into the acting scene, but he only had a few brief appearances in not so popular productions. He waited until 2008 for a role that would give him credit, that of Skinny Pete in “Breaking Bad”, and until 2013 featured in 15 episodes of the highly popular series. In 2010 he was chosen for the role of Billy in the biopic of “Temple Grandin”, under the same name, which was eventually awarded a Golden Globe among other honors. Thanks to the success of the film, Charles’ net worth increased to a large degree.
Two years later he made a successful appearance in the romantic drama “To the Wonder”, next to Ben Affleck, Olga Kurylenko and Javier Bardem among others, also adding to his net worth. Moving on, Charles appeared in the pilot episode of the TV series “The Blacklist” in 2013 playing Grey, but since then has appeared in four more episodes until 2017. Meantime, in 2014 he was Chris Walton in the TV series “Murder in the First”, while 2016 was quite fruitful for Charles, as he appeared in the highly acclaimed horror thriller film “The Neon Demon”, starring Elle Fanning, Christina Hendricks and Keanu Reeves, amd most recently Charles starred in the drama film “August Falls” (2017), with Fairuza Balk, and in the comedy film “Twelfth Night” (2018), next to Rich Baker, and Justin Brownstone, which also added to his net worth.
To speak further of his career, Charles is working on several films, all scheduled for releasein 2018, including the drama “You Can’t Win”, and the comedy “Eleven Eleven”.
When it comes to his personal life, he has a daughter with his ex-wife Rachel, whom he met at the beginning of his career when making a name for himself in theaters across Texas.
