According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Carrie`s net worth is as high as $3 million, an amount she has acquired through her successful career as an actress, during which she has appeared in more than 60 film and TV titles.

Carrie is the younger of two children, born to Barbara and Melvyn Moss. She spent her childhood with her mother in Vancouver, and ever since she was little she was interested in performing arts. As a result she joined the Vancouver children’s musical theatre when she was 11, and as she became older, and started attending the Magee Secondary School, she joined the choir and toured across the Europe.

Carrie`s career began in the late 1980s with a brief role in the TV series “Deadly Nightmares” (1989). After that she had several short appearances in TV series such as “Street Justice” (1991-1993) appearing in two episodes, and in 1991 was cast as Tara McDonald in the TV series “Dark Justice” (1991-1993). Little by little her career began to improve, and she made her debut on the big screen in the film “The Soft Kill” in 1994, the same year featuring in “Flashfire”. During the 1990s, she made several notable appearances in such productions as “Terrified” (1995), “Models Inc.” (1994-1995) and “Sabotage” (1996), before being selected for the role of Trinity in the box-office success “Matrix” (1999), alongside Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne in lead roles. She repeated her role in the sequels “Matrix Reloaded” (2003), and “Matrix 3” (2003), which increased her net worth by a large margin, and also enabled her to acquire new roles.

Carrie continued successfully into the 2000s, securing roles in high profile films such as “Memento” (2000) starring Guy Pearce alongside her and Joe Pantoliano, “Chocolat” (2000) with Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp, “Suspect Zero” (2004), and “The Chumscrubber” (2005).To speak further of her accomplishments as an actress, Carrie also appeared in “Disturbia” (2007), “Normal” (2007), “Pretty/Handsome” (2008), “Love Hurts” (2009), and “Unthinkable” (2010), alongside Samuel L. In 2012, she was cast as Katherine O` Connell in the popular TV series “Las Vegas” (2012-2013), and the same year she featured in Michael J. Bassett’s horror film “Silent Hill: Revelations”, helping increase her net worth.

Carrie has also been recognized as voice actress, lending her voice to characters from such animated series and films as “Dragon Nest: Warriors’ Dawn” (2014), “Clockwork Girl” (2014), and “Pirate’s Passage” (2015), among others, all of which have also added to her net worth.

Carrie-Anne Moss Quotes

  • [in 2014] Yes I’m still in contact with my Matrix family. Life gets busy for all of us but the connection is always there.
  • I’ve always been that girl. Tell me that I can’t do something and I’ll do it.
  • To be honest, I didn’t find it that difficult to get past The Matrix. I never felt typecast at all.
  • I shoplifted. I was about five years old, and I took a candy from a store. We paid for three of them, but I took four, and I went home and cried. My mom took me back, and I paid for the missing piece.
  • Where it gets clear for me about the privacy issue is with my kids because they didn’t choose this kind of life. I’m an incredibly open person, though — I’ll tell anyone anything. My husband jokes that I’ll invite people over for dinner and he won’t know who they are or where I met them. But in my work world, I’ve never really been tempted to tell too much of my story.
  • I don’t have issues with playing moms. When a role is well-written, whatever it is, it’s just about playing the truth of the character. I always wanted to be a mother. I love it.
  • I wouldn’t play another character like Trinity out of respect to her and respect to the film. I don’t want to be the leather-clad, kicking-butt girl with another name. It would be like cheating on Trinity.
  • A sex scene is much harder than a fight scene. It’s one thing to say, ‘Kick higher,’ but ‘Kiss harder’ – that’s just crazy.
  • I think dreams are important to inspire us to get out of bed every morning.
  • “After The Matrix (1999), I cannot wear sunglasses. As soon as I put them on, people recognize me”.
