Spanky Hayes was born as Carlos Hayes on 31 January 1986, in Detroit, Michigan, USA, of Cuban descent. He is a comedian, rapper and actor, best known for being a frequent participant in the MTV/MTV 2 hit sketch comedy and improv television show “Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out”, as well as for his feud with actor Tyrese Gibson.
So just how rich is Spanky Hayes now? According to sources, Hayes has earned a fortune of over $300,000, as of early 2017, established through his involvement in the entertainment industry.
Hayes first came to prominence in 2000, when he was featured in the documentary film “All Jokes Aside”, portraying black comedians in Hollywood. The following year he made a cameo appearance in an episode of BET’s stand-up comedy show “Comicview”, while also serving as its writer. Paving his way to recognition and fame, his wealth began to increase.
The rising comedian then pursued an acting career, appearing in the comedy mockumentary film “Pauly Shore Is Dead” in 2003, playing a prisoner. Two years later he appeared in the TV film “Baggin’”, further improving his popularity status. Later that year Hayes became part of the MTV comedy show “Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out”, joining the series in its debut season. The show, featuring two teams of comedians competing against each other in various improv comedy games, as well as many celebrities, quickly became extremely popular, and one of the the network’s highest-rated shows. Since joining “Wild ‘N Out” when it first aired, Hayes remained its participant through the next five seasons. Season 6, which aired in 2014-2015, was his final season as a cast member. The show served as a perfect showcase for his comedic talents, and a great way to elevate his popularity. Aside from boosting his fame, it greatly contributed to his net worth as well.
In the meantime, Hayes continued with his acting career, appearing in the 2008 television film “Customer Service Sucks” and making his feature film debut with a small part in the drama “Days of Wrath” in the same year. In 2014 he appeared in another Cannon’s project, the comedy-drama musical film “School Dance”. Hayes is currently involved in the upcoming comedy/horror film “Hellitosis: The Legend of Stankmouth”, set to be released in 2017.
Appearing in diverse projects, such as television shows, films and several music videos, has brought Hayes a decent amount of fame and a considerable fortune.
Aside from his involvement in the entertainment industry, he has also been known for his feud with actor and rapper, Tyrese Gibson. The feud started in 2014, when Hayes gave an interview for an online radio show called Hood Box Office, claiming that the actor was involved in homosexual activities to land a leading role in the film “Baby Boy”. More accurately, he said that he was beaten out for the part because Gibson performed oral sex on a casting director John Singleton. This caused considerable drama on the internet, and led the actor to respond by making a video of himself denying Hayes’ claims and assuring that he would destroy Hayes’ career in Hollywood. Hayes later stated that he made up the whole story for attention and publicity. However, although he admitted the lie, he reported that he still thinks Gibson is gay, calling out some other actors as well.
When it comes to his personal life, Hayes keeps it away from public view. Therefore, sources don’t have any information regarding his past or current relationship status, or any other details from his private life.
