Cameron Gipp Wiki Biography
Cameron Gipp was born on the 28th April 1973, in Atlanta, Georgia USA, and is a rapper, probably best known as a member of the rap group Goodie Mob, and for frequent collaborations with rapper Ali with whom he formed the duo Ali & Gipp. He has been a member of Goodie Mob since 1991: the group also consists of the rappers Khuyo, T-Mo and Cee Lo Green. He collaborated on the single “Grillz” recorded by Nelly in 2005. In 2003, he released the unique solo album “Mutant Mindframe”. In 2007, the album “Kinfolk” was released in collaboration with rapper Ali. Gripp has been active in the entertainment industry since 1991.
How much is the net worth of Big Gripp? It has been estimated by authoritative sources that the overall size of his wealth is as much as $1 million, as of the data presented in early 2017. Music is the main source of Gripp’s net worth.
To begin with, the boy was raised in Atlanta, and in 1991 straight after high school, the band Goodie Mob was formed by Cee-Lo Green, Khujo, T-Mo and Big Gipp. With their debut album “Soul Food” (1995) they were critically acclaimed, as were the next two albums – “Still Standing” (1998) and “World Party” (1999). Since then, members of the band have tried to pursue careers as soloists, as a result Big Gipp released “Mutant Mindframe” in 2003 and with its first single “Steppin ‘Out” reached success – his net worth was rising steadily.
In 2006, “Ali & Gipp” was launched consisting of rappers Ali, who is a member of St. Lunatics, and Big Gipp. They became popular thanks to the single “Grillz” in which are also featured Nelly and Paul Wall, although the song credits thirteen artists and takes a sample of the song “Soldier”, written and played by Destiny’s Child, T.I. and Lil Wayne. Eventually, St. Lunatics decided to make this collaboration more serious, and released the single “Go ‘Head”, which made Ali & Gipp an official music project in 2006. At the end of 2006, the band released their first studio album “Kinfolk” under the Derrty Entertainment label, in collaboration with influential musicians and bands such as David Banner, Three 6 Mafia and Juvenile. The album managed to reach 25th place on the Billboard R&B Albums and 174th place of the Billboard 200.
Recently, the single “Shine Like Gold” (2014) was released in collaboration with Cee-Lo Green. They are apparently working on a new album to be released late in 2017. Overall, Big Gipp is known for numerous collaborations with such artists as Bubba Sparxxx, Rehab, Lil’ Flip and YoungBloodZ. These and many other artists obviously value the contribution of Big Gipp to their works.
To summarise, all the previously mentioned engagements have added sums to the total size of Big Gipp’s net worth. Finally, in the personal life of the rapper, Gipp was married to Joi (1995 – 2003). Currently, he is reported to be single.
