Evan Brooks Laich was born on 23rd June 1983, in Wawota, Saskatchewan, Canada, and is an ice hockey player, who until recently he played in the position of the centre for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL) until the end of 2017. Currently, he is a free agent.

In 2016, he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Daniel Winnick, but was disappointed with this exchange. In autumn of 2017 he signed a contract with Los Angeles Kings, but after 12 matches his contract was terminated.
Internationally, Brooks began in the Junior World Championships in 2003, the team winning silver. He played with the senior team at the 2010 World Championships, but the team finished seventh.
