Concerning his subsequent professional career, Meltzer published his first novel – “The Tenth Justice” – in 1998, followed by seven others, which were commercially successful, so that they entered the bestseller list of the New York Times. As a comic author, Meltzer wrote sixteen editions of the adventure series “Green Arrow” (2002), the miniseries “Identity Crisis” (2004) and the series “Justice League of America” (2007). “Identity Crisis” sold very well, because of the taboo subject of cowardice in dealing with a serial rapist. Bush gave Meltzer a copy of the secret letter which was left at the Bill Clinton Oval Office counter.
