Bonner Bolton Wiki Biography
Bonner Bolton was born on 1 June 1987, in Odessa, Texas USA, and is a fashion model and former professional bull rider, perhaps still best known for being the 2007 Championship Bull Riding (CBR) World Champion. He’s been active in bull riding professionally since 2005, but all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Bonner Bolton? As of early-2018, sources estimate a net worth that is at $500,000, mostly earned through a successful career in bull riding. He also earns significantly from working as a model. He survived a serious injury during one of his rides, and as he continues his endeavors, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.
Bonner grew up on a ranch in a family of cowboys who competed in rodeo and professional bull riding, and learned how to train horses at a young age. He attended Odessa College and later went to Texas Tech University, gaining entry through bull riding scholarships.
In 2005, Bolton started competing as a part of the CBR tour, gaining qualifications in the world championship in 2007. He got the World Championship, and this would help increase his net worth significantly. The event was held at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and he was one of only three riders to cover all his bulls during the finals. He would continue to make solid appearances in the world championships in the next four years, winning the Las Vegas Championship and the Hobbs Championship. He continued to score well in each of his tournaments as he competed as a part of the Professional Bull Riders circuit, joining events held around the country. In 2015, he reached fourth place at the Fresno California Invitational.
After recovering from an injured right MCL, Bonner returned to competing and would qualify once more for the PBR World Finals. He managed to qualify despite missing six events due to injury.
He finished fourth place during the World Finals. However, an injury kept him from performing his best during the finals. He also found work as a part of the film “The Longest Ride” in which he acted as a stunt double for Scott Eastwood. For the film, he had to ride a difficult bull which he managed to do after numerous tries. In 2016, while a part of the Chicago Invitational, Bonner made a bad dismount which led to him landing upside down on his head. He was then run over by his bull before the officials could lead the bull away from him. The doctors diagnosed a broken C-2 vertebra which had to be repaired using spinal fusion. He lost feeling in his back and body, but managed to recover and walk after a couple of months. He received support from the Cowboys Helping Cowboys group, but was told that he would never ride again.
Prior to his injury, Bolton was already noticed by IMG Models, who would later sign him to a modelling contract. His net worth increased significantly as he became part of numerous fashion collections. He also competed in the TV series “Dancing with the Stars” partnered with Sharna Burgess, and they finished in fifth place.
For his personal life, nothing is known about Bonner’s romantic relationships, if any.
