Another role he was well-known for is his performance in Brian De Palma’s “The Untouchables”, but all of his achievements have ensured the position of his wealth.
Billy is the son of actor/director William Eugene Burrows, Sr. He took on his grandmother’s maiden name as a stage name when he started acting. While attending high school, he worked as a stuntman at Boot Hill, then after matriculating, he enrolled at the University of Kansas. After graduation he worked as a radio host for some time before joining an acting company, working in Canada before moving to New York City.
He started his career in 1979 with minor parts in several popular films, including “Windwalker” which was directed by Academy Award winner Kieth Merrill. He then appeared in the thriller ‘Cutter’s Way” which starred Jeff Bridges and Lisa Eichhorn, and thanks to these opportunities, Drago then started to guest star in numerous television shows, such as “Hill Street Blues” and “Moonlighting”.
He also had a guest appearance in “Walker, Texas Ranger” which starred Chuck Norris. In 1987, Billy would gain a lot of popularity as well as net worth when he became part of the film “The Untouchables” as Al Capone’s henchman Frank Nitti. The film was a commercial and critical success, gaining four Academy Award nominations with one win. As his popularity grew, he was then cast in more television roles, including the highly popular series “The X-Files”, so his net worth was rising steadily.
In 1999, Billy was cast in the series “Charmed” as the demon Barabas; he was only meant to appear in a single episode, but fan popularity helped him gain additional appearances during the five seasons of the show. He continued making films during this period too, including “Delta Force 2” and “Pale Rider”. In 2001, he made an appearance in the music video of “You Rock My World” by Michael Jackson, and was also a part of the music video “Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)” in which he played a mysterious stranger. In 2004, he was cast in the film “Mysterious Skin”, and became a part of the remake of the horror film “The Hills Have Eyes” which is based on the 1977 Wes Craven film. He was then cast in “Children of the Corn: Genesis” and the “Masters of Horror” episode “Imprint”, which was actually never shown allegedly because unspecified ‘disturbing content’.
For his personal life, it is known that Drago married actress Silvana Gallardo and their son is actor Darren E. Burrows; their marriage lasted from 1980 up to their divorce in 2012.

Billy Dragoo Quotes
- [on being cast in bad guy roles] I enjoy villains. I’ve figured out how to get paid for doing what they tried to throw me in jail for when I was a kid. Besides, I’m never going to be the boy next door. That’s not who I want to be. So I try to put a little of the dark side into my good guys and a bit of gentleness into my heavies.
