William H. Press was born on 8 April 1940, in Wilmington, Delaware USA, and is best known as an American radio talk show host, and a former co-host of Spin Room on CNN and Buchanan and Press on MSNBC.

Press attended the Salesianum School, which is a private Roman Catholic secondary school, and then enrolled into Niagara University, from where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sacred Theology. He eventually moved to Inverness, California in 1970 where he started off his career in broadcasting, for television stations such as KABC-TV and KCOP-TV in addition to working as a political commentator for TV stations MSNBC and CNN. He is still best known for his partnership with the latter, on which he co-hosted ‘’Spin Room’’ alongside Tucker Carlson, and besides that also worked on ‘’Crossfire’’. When it comes to his work for MSNBC, his most prominent project there was ‘’Buchanan and Press’’, adding steadily to his net worth.
His career developed rapidly throughout the following decades, and he eventually joined The Huffington Post, one of the most important liberal political news websites, and for which he still serves as a contributing blogger; he also writes for The Hill. As of 2012, he replaced Keith Olbermann on Current TV, where he covered the Florida Republican primary elections.
His other prominent works include his career as a politician, as he was active as chief of staff to Republican California State Senator Peter Behr from 1971 until 1973. Having finished with that job, he moved on to become the director of the California Office of Planning and Research, working for the Democratic governor Jerry Brown from 1975 and throughout the next four years.
Most importantly, Bill was the chairman of the California Democratic Party from 1993 until 1996, when he left the position to be replaced by Arthur Torres.
Moreover, Press is active as a radio talk show host, fronting ‘’The Bill Press Show’’ since 2005. The previously mentioned liberal politics show was first broadcast on terrestrial radio affiliates, and later on moved to Free Speech TV. Since 2016, it has been broadcast on The Young Turks network.
When it comes to Press’ career as a writer, he has published books with political thematic, making his debut with ‘’Eyewitness : A California Perspective’’, which he wrote in 1988.
