Ben Savage Wiki Biography
Bennett Joseph Savage was born on 13 September 1980 in Chicago, Illinois USA of Polish, Ukrainian, German and Latvian ancestry. Ben is a television and film actor who has gained most of his fame as a child actor.
So how rich is Ben Savage? While he hasn’t appeared in many movies or TV shows in the last few years, he still has an impressive net worth of $12 million, most of his wealth accumulated from his roles in Disney Channel TV series “Boy Meets World” and “Girl Meets World”.
Ben Savage’s road to success began when he was merely nine years old and appeared in his first film – “Little Monsters” – in 1989. It was not a coincidence that he was chosen for this part – he played the little brother of the main character who was portrayed by Ben’s brother Fred Savage. After his successful debut, Ben starred in a couple of other films – “Big Girls Don’t Cry…They Get Even” in 1992 and “Clifford” in 1994. During those few years, Ben has also appeared in a number of TV shows such as “Dear John”, “A Family for Joe” and the critically acclaimed “Wild Palms”. However, the part that had the most influence on his career and net worth was his leading role in Disney’s “Boy Meets World” between 1993 and 2000. The viewers had a unique opportunity to watch this boy grow up together with his character Cory Matthews which might have been one of the reasons for the show’s amazing popularity. For his performance in these series, Ben Savage won a Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice award, was nominated for three Young Artist Awards and one Young Star Award.
Ben Savage took a break from acting between 2002 and 2006, to complete his degree studies in political science at Stanford University, which included serving as an intern for a US Senator; he also became a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Ben returned to acting in 2006 in the movie entitled “Car Babes” and in the next year starred in an independent movie entitled “Palo Alto”, which got great reviews from the critics.
As so often happens with popular Disney Channel series, they have decided to make a spin-off series of “Boy Meets World” in 2014. The show is entitled “Girl Meets World” and has Ben Savage as one of the main characters – a father of the lead character Riley (played by Rowan Blanchard). Getting back to the Disney Channel – with one of the lead roles – means that Ben Savage’s net worth will probably continue to rise for at least a few years. The show has been a success so far – in 2014 Disney announced that it has been renewed for at least one season. A couple of Ben’s other significant, more recent roles include his appearances in TV series “Bones” in 2011 and crime drama “Criminal Minds” in 2015.
In his personal life, Ben Savage is currently not married. Both his brother (Fred Savage) and sister (Kala Savage) are also involved with the film industry. Ben is a fairly private person – there is almost no personal information about him made public.

Ben Savage Quotes
- [on relationships with Boy Meets World cast] What I always like about good friendships and relationships is that it does not matter how much time it’s been, you can immediately sit down and start talking where thinks left off.
- [on relationship with Rider Strong] I guess when you grow up with someone and you spend so much time with them, you don’t need to talk to them and see them all the time. I think you could say that about anyone your close with.
- [on Girl Meets World] I think once we kind of checked off all the things on our checklist, the choice was easy, but there was a lot of talk. But it all came together.
