Have you ever wondered how rich Aramis Ramirez is, as of mid- 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Ramirez’ net worth is as high as $55 million, an amount earned through his successful career as a baseball player, which was active from 1998 until 2015.

Before being signed to the MLB team, Aramis played in his native country for the Aida Cartagena Portalatin. In 1994 he signed his first contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates but didn’t make his debut appearance until 1998, still at that time the youngest player to debut in the MLB. In the first season he played in 72 games, but had problems adjusting to new environment, and struggled in the first couple of seasons. However, he overcame those problems in 2001 when he had 112 RBI and 34 home runs. He stayed in Pittsburgh until 2003 when he was traded to the Chicago Cubs.

He played well in his first season with the Cubs, but still had some problems as he had 33 errors, the most in the majors that year. He played for the Cubs for the next eight years, signing a contract worth $73 million in 2006 over five years, which certainly increased his wealth to a large degree. During his stint in Chicago, Aramis eventually played his best baseball, making it to three All-Star games, 2005, 2008, and 2014, and in 2011 he was the best offensive third baseman in the MLB, which won him Silver Slugger award for the year. Also, in 2008 he was the recipient of NL Hank Aaron Award for being the top hitter in the league.

After his contract with the Chicago Cubs had expired, Aramis signed a contract with the Milwaukee Brewers, worth $36 million over three years, further increasing his wealth. In the first season for his new team, Aramis posted 10 RBIs, 27 home runs and had a .300 batting average, however, after that, his performance began to decline due to nagging injuries that plagued him in the upcoming years.

Before the 2015 season ended, Aramis was sent back to the Pittsburgh Pirates for a minor league pitcher Yhonathan Barrios. He played in 56 games for the Pirates in 2015 and had decent numbers, but still decided to retire at the end of the season. He finished his career with a .283 batting average, 386 home runs, and 1,417 runs batted in.
