Anthony Padilla Wiki Biography
Anthony Padilla was born on 16 September 1987, in California, USA, and is a YouTube personality, known for his work on the channel Smosh, but he’s also established his own YouTube channel, and has been active on the website since 2005. All of his endeavors have helped put his net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Anthony Padilla? As of early-2018, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $8 million, mostly earned through success on YouTube, which has led him to other projects and collaborations which helped in increasing his wealth. As he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.
At a young age, Anthony had trouble going to school because he was diagnosed with Henoch-SchonleinPurpura (HSP) which left him almost bedridden. During this time, he decided to learn how to code, and eventually started connecting with friends online, and to hang out with them through a website which he called “Smosh”. The project proved successful, and soon more people started using his website. He then decided to post a video on the website “Smosh.com”, made alongside his friend Ian Hecox, which featured them lip syncing to the “Power Rangers” theme. The video became viral, and spread through the social media network “My Space”. He then decided to post it on a new website YouTube, leading to the creation of their channel “Smosh”.
The channel continued to grow over the coming years and his net worth increased significantly, especially as they decided to sell merchandise which helped in bringing in more money to help them during college. They were one of the first channels to become a part of the YouTube ad program, which allowed them to make money from videos. He then dropped out of college to pursue YouTube full time. The channel grew to have over a million subscribers, and he started foraying into other projects as well. He created comedy music albums, including “Sexy Album” and “If Music Were Real” which were released in 2011.
In mid-2017, Padilla then decided to leave Smosh to start his own solo YouTube channel. His self-titled channel also became popular and it raised his net worth even further. He now has over 2.6 million subscribers, and posts consistent content on his channel. Most of his offerings are comedy sketches, and he also does vlogs. His most popular videos have over three million views.
For his personal life, it is known that Anthony was engaged to beauty YouTuber vlogger Kalel Cullen but their relationship eventually ended in 2014. He later spoke out that the relationship was toxic which prompted rebuttals from Cullen online. In 2017, he then confirmed that he is dating social media personality Mielmonster, who found popularity through Vine and Instagram. His parents broke up when he was two years old, so he also has two half-brothers. He became friends with former Smosh companion Ian during the sixth grade.
