Anthony E. Zuiker was on born 17 August 1968, in Blue Island, Illinois USA, and is an author, screenwriter and executive producer, best known for creating and producing the television series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”.

Zuiker’s family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, when he was still a baby, being raised by a casino worker mother and hotel employee father. There he attended Chaparral High School, matriculating in 1986. He then enrolled at Arizona State University in Tempe, transferring to the University of La Verne in La Verne, California, after three years. He finished his college education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English.
Zuiker worked as a tram driver in Las Vegas when he first got the idea for developing his own television series, which would become the most watched show in the world. He began to write the story during the ’90s, dreaming of success and fame. His dreams soon came true, as his script reached the producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who saw great potential in it, securing a deal with Touchstone Pictures. After being rejected by ABC, Fox and NBC, the story was picked up by CBS and began airing in 2000. Starring William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, Ted Danson, Laurence Fishburne and Elisabeth Shue, the show focused on the adventures of a Crime Scene Investigative Unit within the Las Vegas Police Department. It aired for 15 seasons, until 2015. “CSI” drew critical acclaim and audience attention from its first season, becoming the network’s top-rated show and holding that spot for years to come. In 2012 he created and executive produced the web series “Cybergeddon” a cyber-thriller film for Yahoo, and the anthology film series “Anthony Zuiker Presents” on YouTube channel BlackBoxTV. The following year he created the reality TV murder mystery series “Whodunnit?”, which ran for one season on ABC in 2013. All contributed to his net worth.
