Anneliese Louise van der Pol Wiki Biography
Anneliese Louise van der Pol was born on 23 September 1984, in Naaldwijk, the Netherlands, to Dyan Ross, an American, and Willem van der Pol, a Dutch director of the Physical Plant at the California State University. She is an actress, singer, model and dancer, perhaps best known for her role as Chelsea Daniels in the Disney Channel comedy series “That’s So Raven”.
So just how rich is Anneliese van der Pol? According to sources, van der Pol has established a wealth over $1 million, as of late 2016, earned during her acting career beginning in the late ‘90s.
Van der Pol’s family moved to the USA in her early childhood, settling in California, where she attended School in Bellflower. She became involved in acting in third grade at Washington Elementary School, appearing in the musical “Lana the Ladybug” and went on to appear in many stage productions. She attended Bellflower Middle School and High School, eventually transferring to Orange County High School of the Arts in Santa Ana, California, joining the school’s Musical Theatre Program, where she was cast as Sandy Dumbrowsky in a revival of “Grease” in 1999, earning a Bobbi Award for “Best Actress in a Musical”. The same year she played Eva Perón in the Buena Park Civic Theater production of “Evita”, gaining rave reviews from the Los Angeles Times and becoming the youngest actress, aged 15, to play the role in a professional production. She then starred as Laurey in “Oklahoma!” for Austin Musical Theater, from 2000 to 2001. She matriculated in 2001, but her wealth and fame was already on the rise.
Later in 2001, van der Pol landed a role in Disney Channel’s original comedy series “That’s So Raven”, the program’s most successful show, playing Chelsea Daniels, the best friend and sidekick of the title character, from 2003 to 2007. The role enabled her to achieve recognition, significantly adding to her net worth.
In the meantime, she appeared on the big screen, with the starring role of Chelsey Weber in “Divorce: The Musical” in 2001 and with the supporting role of Avery in the 2007 musical live-action teen comedy “Bratz: The Movie”. She also made guest appearances on the Disney Channel Totally Suite New Year’s Eve and The Disney Channel Games.
In 2007, the actress made her Broadway debut, with the role of Belle in the musical “Beauty and the Beast”. She came back to Broadway the following year, being cast as Kathy in the musical “Vanities, A New Musical”. In 2010 she appeared in the Jewish miniseries revival of “Shalom Sesame”, and landed the role of Jennifer in the spoof horror film “Vampires Suck”. A year later, she played Dayna in the thriller “Cats Dancing on Jupiter”, and guest starred in the television series “Friends with Benefits”. In 2012, she starred as Marian Almond in the Pasadena Playhouse production of “The Heiress, and as Emma Woodhouse in a production of “Emma”, and Gwendolyn Fairfax in “The Importance of Being Earnest”, both for the Arizona Theatre Company. This was followed by the role of Millie Dillmount in “Thoroughly Modern Millie”. Van der Pol’s involvement in both films and on stage greatly improved her status in the industry, considerably adding to her wealth. Reportedly, Van Der Pol will appear in “That’s So Raven”, reprising her role as Chelsea Daniels, set to begin production in 2017.
Aside from her acting career, van der Pol has also been involved in music, participating in numerous musical projects with Disney. Her first solo recording, the 2004 “Over It”, became the lead single for the soundtrack of the Disney Channel Original Movie “Stuck in the Suburbs”. Her next single, “A Day in the Sun”, was heard on “That’s So Raven Too!”, the second soundtrack album from the “That’s So Raven” series. She has also participated in several “For the Record” series, including “For the Record: Tarantino in Concert”, doing the first cast recording for the project for LML Music. She also recorded the Original Cast Album for the musical “Vanities, A New Musical” Sh-K-Boom Records. All contributed to her net worth.
In her personal life, sources believe van de Pol is single at present – there are no rumours of romantic associations.
