Angela Molina Wiki Biography
Angela Molina Tejedor was born on 5 October 1955, in Madrid, Spain, and is an actress and singer, who has appeared in numerous film projects including “Broken Embraces”, but is perhaps best known for being the daughter of singer Antonio Molina. She’s been active in the industry since 1976, and all of her efforts have helped put her net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Angela Molina? As of early-2018, sources estimate a net worth that is at $7 million, mostly earned through a successful career in acting. She’s become a part of several acting committees throughout her career, and has won several awards. As she continues working, it is expected that her wealth will also continue to increase.
Angela attended Escuela Superior de Madrid, and during her time there studied dance as well as theatre art. She made her debut in 1976, as a part of the film “Las Largas Vacaciones del 36”, which tells the story of a bourgeois family affected by the Spanish Civil War. She then appeared in the film “Black Litter”, before starting to gain international prominence through her role in “That Obscure Object of Desire”, released in 1977 and set in Spain and France, which gained a lot of critical acclaim. More opportunities started coming her way which started to increase her net worth, working with more well-known directors including Ridley Scott, Pedro Almodovar and Jaime Chavarri, on projects such as “The Man Who Knew Love”, “Traffic Jam”,and “Put on Ice” which is a German thriller film. She was also a part of “Demons in the Garden” and “Eternal Fire” during the early 1980s, and her films were featured frequently in several film festivals. In 1986, she joined the cast of “Half of Heaven”, adding more to her net worth.
Molina would become the first foreign actress to win the Italian David di Donatello prize, and she also won a Best Actress prize during the Donostia-San Sebastian International Film Festival for her work in “Half of Heaven”. She continued with noted performances in the next few years which would consistently gain her Goya Award nominations. She became a part of “Drums of Fire”, “1492: Conquest of Paradise” and “Oedipus Mayor”, which is a modern day interpretation of the Sophocles classic “Oedipus Rex”. In 1999, Molina had the honor of becoming the Head of the Jury during the “49th Berlin International Film Festival”. Her net worth increased significantly during these years.
Her work continued well into the 2000s with projects such as “Malefemmene’, “The Holy Family”, and “Diary of a Nymphomaniac” which was released in 2008, based on the memoir “Insatiable – The Sexual Adventures of a French Girl in Spain” by Valerie Tasso.
A few of Molina’s latest projects include “You Can’t Save Yourself Alone”, and “Tini: The Movie” which also stars Sofia Carson, still adding to her net worth.
For her personal life, it is known that Angel was previously married to Herve Timarche and they had three children during their marriage which eventually ended in divorce. In 1995 she married Leo Blakstad, and they have two children together.
