She has also appeared in other popular movies such as “Urban Legend”, “Vanilla Sky” and “88 Minutes”. All of her efforts have helped put her net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Alicia Witt? As of mid-2016, sources estimate a net worth that is at $3 million, mostly earned through a successful career in acting. She’s been acting since she was a child, including making appearances in various television shows. She’s also known for being a musical prodigy, showcasing talents in singing and playing the piano. As she continues her career, it is expected that her wealth will increase.

Alicia was considered a prodigy at a young age, learning how to talk and read at a very young age. She was then discovered to have acting skills after reciting “Romeo and Juliet” in the show “That’s Incredible!” She would start working with director David Lynch, and eventually earned high school equivalency credentials at the age of 14. Later on, she would study piano at Boston University, while still competing all over the country. It is known that Witt supported herself through playing the piano at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel when she was just starting her career.

Lynch cast Witt in her first role as the flame-haired child in “Dune”. She would continue to appear in his projects, most notably In “Twin Peaks”, and these projects would lead her to more opportunities such as in “Lieberstraum”, “Bodies, Rest & Motion”, and her first lead role in “Fun”; she played a disturbed and murderous teenager in the film which won her a Special Jury Recognition Award at the Sundance Festival. She then became part of the sitcom “Cybill”, and stayed with the show from 1995 to 1998. She also continued to be cast in films such as “Mr Holland’s Opus”, “Citizen Ruth”, and “Bongwater”. After “Cybill” was cancelled, she was then cast in the horror film “Urban Legend” alongside Jared Leto and Joshua Jackson.

In the 2000s, she appeared in “Ally McBeal” and “The Sopranos”, and would also become part of “Playing Mona Lisa” as the lead, and had a small role in “Vanilla Sky”. In 2002, she was cast in “Two Weeks Notice” alongside Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant. After a few more projects, she joined the cast of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” for a year while appearing in other projects such as “Last Holiday” and “Peep World”. In 2013, she became part of the independent film entitled “Cold Turkey”, and received critical acclaim for her performance. A few of her latest projects include “Justified”, “The Walking Dead” and the planned 2017 “Twin Peaks” series.

Aside from films and television, Alicia regularly performs on stage, and has been part of productions such as “The Shape of Things”, and “Piano/Forte” in 2006, for which she received critical acclaim for her performance as the damaged pianist Abigail. One of her latest stage performances is the play “Reasons To Be Pretty” which ran in August 2014.

She has also released a self-titled album in 2009, showcasing her singing and piano talents. She has been called a great pianist and apparently has outstanding skill with the instrument. She has also portrayed the singer Autumn Chase in the series “Nashville”.For her personal life, any relationships are kept private.

Alicia Roanne Witt Quotes

  • All of those art-based fields are similar in that they’re all hard to make a living in and they all require an intense amount of training and discipline.
  • On-screen relationships are the best because you don’t have to worry about saying the wrong things. And if the guy’s got a girlfriend, or I’m not attracted to him, it’s even better. It’s just my character kissing his character.
  • John Waters has certainly gotten to a place in his life where he doesn’t do anything he doesn’t want to do. He’s always been that way, but at this point, he’s greatly respected for it.
  • My goal is to just keep playing roles that are different from the roles I’ve played before.
  • You have to really concentrate on piano or acting. You can’t do both.
  • I wanted to do a movie about being really good at something, yet being socially awkward and not as advanced in your personal life as you are in your creative life.
  • In my fantasy I was always the savior. I would come to Peanuts land and save everybody. Charlie Brown would fall madly in love with me. Peppermint Patty was so jealous.
  • I’d never been to a prom, I had never had the whole high school experience. I think I was kind of an anomaly. I don’t think they knew where to put me.
  • I went to national piano competitions and did that whole circuit. Then I played professionally to support myself when I moved out to LA.
  • I was so happy that it filmed in New York not only because it’s an amazing city, but also because a lot of people across the world somehow started to think about New York as a dangerous place to be and envisioned it as some war zone after that happened.
  • Acting is magical. Change your look and your attitude, and you can be anyone.
  • Pianos tend to get better as they age, the more you play them. They grow into their sound.
  • When I was a kid, my dream was to be a farmer and marry Charlie Brown. I wanted to rescue him and make him happy. Besides, he was always lusting after the little redhead girl.
  • Redheads get so stereotyped. You’re either exotic and wild or totally Victorian.
  • It occurred to me the other day that I’ve made out with more people on camera than I have in real life!
  • In my fantasy I was always the savior. I would come to ‘Peanuts’ land and save everybody. Charlie Brown would fall madly in love with me. Peppermint Patty was so jealous.
  • I like to play any character that allows me the freedom to explore it and teach the audience something they didn’t know, and show them a journey they identify with…or be inspired, or moved. Anything that touches someone’s heart is important for me.
