So, have you ever wondered how rich Alan Grayson is, as of early 2017? According to estimates from authoritative sources, Rick counts his net worth at the decent amount of $17 million, as of early 2017. Most of his income is the result of his successful involvement in the politics, but another source of his wealth is coming from his career as a lawyer.
Alan Grayson is the son of Dorothy Ann and Daniel Franklin Grayson; he spent his childhood in his hometown, where he attended Bronx High School of Science. Upon matriculation in 1975, he enrolled at Harvard College, from which he graduated summa cum laude with a BA degree in Economics in 1978, and was also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa fraternity. Afterwards, he worked as an economist, and then returned to his alma mater to continue studies, earning a Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, as well as earning from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, an MA degree.
Subsequently, Alan’s career as a lawyer began, when he was hired in 1983 by the Colorado Supreme Court to work as a law clerk. During the next two years, he worked at the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, and later began his specialization in contract law at the Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson Company. In 1990, Alan established IDT (International Discount Telecom) Corporation, and in the following year his own law company called Grayson & Kubli, which added a considerable amount to his net worth.
His political career began in 2006, when he ran to become the United States Representative at the 2006 Democratic primary for Florida’s 8th congressional district. Although he was defeated by Charlie Stuart, Alan didn’t give up, winning it two years later, subsequently increasing his net worth further. While he was in congress, Alan was also a member and vice-chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. In 2010, he was endorsed for re-election by former Congresswoman Patricia Schroeder, but he was defeated by Webster.
Nevertheless, Alan’s big comeback was in 2012, when he again became the United States Representative, now for Florida’s 9th congressional district, and he moved his focus to work more with Republicans. His position has a huge positive effect on his fortune.
