According to sources it has been estimated that Aditya Chopra’s overall net worth is over $30 million, accumulated during a successful career in the world of film, which has lasted for more than 25 years. Being the current chairman of Yash Raj Films conglomerate has significantly added to his net worth. Since he is still very active in the entertainment industry, his net worth continues to grow.

Aditya was born the elder son of veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra and his wife Pamela. Influenced by his father’s career, his interest in film started from an early age. Aditya started his schooling at the Bombay Scottish School, and he eventually graduated from Hassaram Rijhumal College of Commerce and Economics. However, he began his career as an assistant to his father in “Chandni”, “Lamhe(Moments)” and “Darr(Fear)”, and directed his first film, the multipl-awarded “The Brave-Hearted Will Take Away the Bride”, at the age of 23. The film was released in October 1995 and, apart from directing it, Aditya was the writer of its story, screenplay and dialogue; it became the longest running film in the history of Indian cinema, as it completed 1000 weeks at Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir Cinema.

In 2004 Chopra tried his luck as a producer, and created “Hum Tum” and “Dhoom(Blast)”, which both gained notable success and earned several awards. The same year, he co-produced and wrote the story, screenplay and dialogue of “Veer-Zaara(Veer and Zaara), which turned out to be the biggest grossing film of the year. His net worth was growing well!

However, Aditya’s first international film came in 2006 when he produced “Kabul Express”, and garnered great critical success and awards, with the movie being screened at various International Film Festivals. His other notable films include “Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year”, “Band Baaja Baaraat”, “Ishaqzaade” among many others.

Chopra continued to produce and direct movies year after year, and in January 2010 re-shaped the television viewing experience with the entry of his company, YRF Television(Yash Raj Films). The television catered especially to young audiences, launching and showing films that were both entertaining and juvenescent. As a producer, creative head and chairman of Yash Raj Films, he has launched numerous successful directors over the years, and continues to do so.

When it comes to his more recent activity, in September 2015 YRF movie company announced that Chopra’s new film “Befikre” was on the way, and the film was released in December 2016. Chopra has now been involved in at least one way with more than 75 films.

Talking of his private life, Aditya Chopra was married to Payal Khannafrom, 2001-09. He married Rani Mukerji in April 2014, and the couple has a daughter. Aditya also has a younger brother, Uday Chopra, who is a well-known Bollywood actor.
