  • Following the success of Erin Brockovich (2000), Brockovich got repeatedly referenced in The Simpsons (1989) episode “Sweets and Sour Marge”. In that episode, Marge discovers that all the sugar in the food is making the town overweight. She hires a lawyer to file a class-action lawsuit against the sugar company. After the trial ends in the banning of all sugar from Springfield, Homer angrily calls Marge “Erin Choco-snitch” and “Blue Hair-in Brocko-witch”.
