Gérard Xavier Marcel Depardieu was born on the 27th December 1948, in Chateauroux, Indre, France, and is an actor, filmmaker, and businessman, best known to the world as Cyrano De Bergerac in “Sirano”, as Porthos in “The Man In The Iron Mask”, and for portraying Obelix in the “Asterix and Obelix” franchise films, among other roles. His career has been active since 1964.
