Erik Anthony Aude Wiki Biography
Erik Anthony Audé was born on 5 April 1980, in Beverly Hills, California USA, and is an actor, stuntman and professional poker player, but probably best known for being arrested and imprisoned in Pakistan for drug trafficking in 2002.
So just how rich is Erik Aude? Sources state that Aude has acquired a net worth of over $500,000, as of mid-2016. The main source of his wealth has been his involvement in the film and television industry, but he has also earned money through playing poker as well as through his restaurant business.
At the age of seven, Aude’s family moved to the Antelope Valley in northern Los Angeles County, where he was run over by a school bus a year later. After making a recovery by the age of 13, he enrolled in Bethel Christian School in Lancaster, California, joining the school’s football team, Paraclete. Aude pursued his acting career from the age of 15 years, appearing in an episode of Nickelodeon’s “Shaquille O’Neal’s Sports Theater”. He later had a recurring role as Travis Bayer in the 1997 television series “The Bold and the Beautiful”, and appeared in the series “Hiller and Diller” the same year. His net worth was set.
After several television appearances in the late ’90s, Aude debuted on the big screen in 2000, taking the small part of a prom boy in the romantic drama “Bounce”, starring Ben Affleck and Gwyneth Paltrow. The same year he appeared in the comedy film “Dude, Where’s My Car?”, starring Ashton Kutcher. His net worth began to rise.
During the early 2000s Aude made appearances in numerous series, such as “So Little Time”, “That’s Life”, “The Nightmare Room”, “Reba” and “Thieves”. He also played minor parts in the films “Van Wilder: Party Liaison” and “Blind Passion”. He starred in the 2006 drama film “Miles From Home”, and went on to appear in many other films, including “The Third Nail”, “Fatal Secrets”, “Cowboys & Indians” and “HorrorCon”. His numerous television appearances of the time include the series “Beyond the Break”, “The Young and the Restless”, “Days of Our Lives”, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Partners”. All contributed to his net worth.
In 2014 Aude took the role of Thompson in the Clint Eastwood war drama film “American Sniper”. In the years since, he has appeared in a number of films, including “Evil Within”, “Gnome Alone”, “Seat of Justice” and “Hero of the Underworld”, as well as in the series “Shameless”, “NCIS”, “All That Matters” and “Tornado Alley”. His most recent film appearances were in the 2016 “Decommisioned”, “Looking for Lions” and “Code of Honor”. Also in 2016 he played paramedic Jonathan in the hit television series “Grey’s Anatomy”, and appeared in the series “Scorpion” and “Training Day”. All contributed to his wealth. He is currently filming a television film “Square Roots”, and is also involved in several other projects in post-production.
Aude has also served as a stuntman in numerous film and television projects, which enabled him to establish a decent level of fame and a considerable net worth. However, what this actor is really best known for isn’t actually his acting career; in 2002 Aude was arrested in Pakistan, when the authorities found around eight pounds of opium which the actor was carrying in a bag filled with leather clothes on his way from Pakistan to the USA. Reportedly, an Armenian man named Razmik Minasian used Aude to smuggle opium, without revealing his intentions to him. Aude was convicted in 2003 and sentenced to seven years in Pakistani prison. However, after Minasian’s confession that Audé wasn’t aware of the opium, he was freed in late 2004. The whole situation has often been featured in the media, and has also been portrayed in the documentary “Locked Up Abroad”.
Aude has since continued with his acting career, but in addition, he plays poker around the world, and is also a part owner of five Californian restaurants, which have contributed to his net worth.
In his private life, there is no information known to the media whether Aude has been married or not. He currently resides in the San Fernando Valley, CA.
