How rich is Darby Hinton? As of mid-2016, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $500,000, mostly earned through a successful career in acting. He’s appeared in various television shows, most notably in a two part episode of “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color”, and all of these ensured the position of his wealth.

Hinton’s father was actor Edgar Latimer Hinton, Jr and he grew up in a family exposed to the acting industry. His father notably appeared in the series “I Led Three Lives” and was a regular face in Westerns. Darby attended Emerson Junior High School and later the American School in Switzerland (TASIS). After matriculating, he became part of the World Campus Afloat Institute which travelled the world to study various cultures. Afterwards, he studied at Pepperdine University.

Darby started acting at the age of six months old, and played child characters in “Hero’s Island”, “Son of Flubber” and “Mr. Ed”. He then appeared in a 90 minute episode of the Western series “Wagon Train”, and was intended to audition for a role in “The Sound of Music”, however, he became lost and wandered into the wrong line and ended up auditioning for “Daniel Boone”. He started appearing in the show from the premiere episode, and would eventually have a total of 51 “Daniel Boone” appearances. His last shooting with the series was filmed in 1969 when he was 12 years old. His net worth was already assured.

Following the end of the series run, Hinton only made occasional appearances, and was seen in “The New Doctors”, “The Bold Ones” and “Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law”. He continued these guest appearances in the 1970s, and became part of popular shows such as “Hawaii Five-O”, “Magnum PI” and “The Fall Guy”. He was also cast as the second Jan Griffith in “Days of Our Lives” before starring in “Malibu Express”. In 1988, he made an appearance in the first episode of “The Highwayman” though the series was short lived. He was then cast in “Hunter”, “Knots Landing”, and the 1991 series “PS I Luv U”. He made a guest appearance in the series “Beverly Hills, 90210” and his last on-screen appearance was in 2003’s “Just for Kicks”.

He also regularly appears on stage in productions such as “The Manor” and “The Last Laugh” which was directed by Emmy-winner Blake Bradford. These also add to his net worth.
