Roger Stone Wiki Biography
Born Roger Jason Stone Jr. on the 27th August 1952, in Norwalk, Connecticut USA, he is a political consultant, strategist and lobbyist, best known to the world as one of the founders of the lobbying firm Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly. He has been involved in numerous presidential campaigns since the ‘70s, supporting mainly Republican candidates.
Have you ever wondered how rich Roger Stone is, as of early 2018? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Stone’s net worth is as high as $20 million, an amount earned through his successful career, active since the ‘70s.
Roger is of part-Italian and Hungarian ancestry, and grew up in Lewisboro, Connecticut. Even in early years he started using political tricks to get to power. He was a vice president of the student government at a high school in northern Westchester County, New York, and used various ‘false news’ items to reach the position of a president.
As he got older, his schemes and tricks became greater, and while at George Washington University, Roger became a part of Young Republicans Club, and got a job with Richard Nixon’s storied Committee to Re-elect the President, so he quit his studies and fully focused on his new career.
He then joined Nixon’s administration in the Office of Economic Opportunity, but following Nixon’s resignation, Roger worked for Bob Dole. However, that didn’t last long, since it was discovered that he was one of Nixon’s dirty tricksters, publicly exposed by Jack Anderson.
After that, he became a part of Ronald Reagan’s 1976 presidential campaign, and just a year later was appointed as the national chairman of the Young Republicans.
From the start of the ‘80s, Roger’s presence in US politics increased, and over the years he has become one of the leading lobbyists. He first worked for Governor Thomas Kean as chief strategist during his gubernatorial campaign for New Jersey, and then for Ronald Reagan during his presidential re-election campaign. In 1980 he partnered with Charlie Black and Paul Manafort to start a political consulting company Black, Manafort and Stone, while years later Peter G. Kelly added his name to the company. During the ‘80s, Roger also worked for Jack Kemp during his presidential campaign, while other partners worked for future President H.W. Bush. Stone also supported Filipino dictator Ferdinand Marcos, and in addition Congolese ruler, Mobutu Sese Seko.
With the start of the ‘90s, his work with Donald Trump reached a new level, and since then he has been his political advisor. Stone was also involved in such campaigns as Arlen Specter’s failed Republican presidential nomination campaign in 1995, among others.
With the rise of Hilary Clinton, Roger focused on bringing her character and politics down, and in 2008 started a 527 group, called Citizens United Not Timid (CUNT), an obscene acronym deliberately created. Between 2012 and 2015 he was an advisor to Libertarian Party politicians, but with Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016, he returned to the Republican Party, and served as an advisor for the campaign. Unfortunately, he drew controversy to himself and had to leave the campaign. Though staying behind the scenes, Roger created a couple of conspiracy theories, including the one that one of Hilary’s closest associated – Huma Abedin – was a part of the Muslim Brotherhood. ‘False news’?
Roger is also an accomplished author; he has published five books, all through Skyhorse Publishing of New York City. Some of his books include “The Man Who Killed Kennedy: The Case Against LBJ” (2013), “Nixon’s Secrets: The Rise, Fall and Untold Truth about the President, Watergate, and the Pardon “ (2014), and “The Making of the President 2016: How Donald Trump Orchestrated a Revolution” (2017), the sales of which have added a considerable amount to his wealth.
When it comes to his personal life, Roger has been married twice, and has a child from those relationships. Since 1992 he has been married to Nydia Bertran, but a couple years after their marriage, an add came out in swinger magazine, Swinger Fever, exposed to the public by the National Enquirer. After trying to deny posting those adds, Roger eventually admitted that he and his wife were looking for swing couples.
Before Nydia, Roger was married to Anne Wesche from 1974 until 1990.
