Daniel Ricciardo Wiki Biography
Born Daniel Joseph Ricciardo on the 1st July 1989 in Perth, Western Australia, he is a racing driver who is currently a part of the Red Bull Racing Formula One team. Since entering the championship, Daniel has had two third-place season finishes.
Have you ever wondered how rich Daniel Ricciardo is, as of early 2018? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Ricciardo’s net worth is as high as $9 million, an amount earned through his successful career, active since the mid-2000s.
Of part-Italian ancestry, Daniel is the son of Grace and Giuseppe Ricciardo; he has a sister, Michelle. Influenced by his father, who in his own time entered a few racing events but without any major success, Daniel started karting when he was only nine years old, joining the Tiger Kart Club, and then as a 15-year-old he became part of the Western Australian Formula Ford Championship, finishing eighth In his rookie season. The next year, Daniel won a scholarship into the Formula BMW Asian championship, becoming a part of the Eurasia Motorsport, finishing third in the championship following two victories, both at Bira.
Thanks to his good results, Daniel was moving forward, and in 2007 joined Formula Renault driving for RP Motorsport. He competed in both European and Italian championships, but as the season progressed he became more focused on the Italian category, and finished sixth in the championship. He remained in Formula Renault for the 2008 season, but concentrating on European and Western European categories, and winning his first career title by besting all other drivers in the Formula Renault Eastern European championship, while in the European championship he ended the season in second place behind Valtteri Bottas, who now drives for Mercedes in Formula One.
Daniel then started driving for Carlin Motorsport, and switched to British Formula Three, which based on his results certainly wasn’t a problem, since he won the title with seven victories. In the next couple of years, Daniel was building his portfolio for Formula One, becoming the test driver for Red Bull subsidiary Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2010 and 2011, until finally signing a contract with the Formula One team for the 2012 season.
Though the ability of Toro Rosso for 2012 was incapable of any higher results, Daniel managed to collect 10 points and finish 18th. He improved the next season, doubling the number of points, and finishing at the No. 14. He was then recruited by the Infiniti Red Bull Racing, following the retirement by Mark Webber, and won three races, including the Canadian, Hungarian and Belgian Grand Prix, which increased his net worth but also proved him as potentially becoming one of the best drivers if given a good car. Unfortunately, the following season his Red Bull fell behind Ferrari and Williams, while already behind Mercedes, and he finished eighth without a victory.
However, Red Bull was back in 2016, and Daniel this time broke his points record by collecting 256, enough for another third-place finish in the championship, while recording one victory, at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
In the most recent season, Daniel finished fifth, securing only one victory, this time at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix after starting from the tenth position.
When it comes to his personal life, Daniel was in a long-time relationship with his high school sweetheart, Jemma Boskovich, however, he is currently officially single, after breaking up with her in 2017.
