Timothy Michael Kaine was born on 26th February 1958, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA, and is a politician in the Democratic Party, since January 2013 representing the state of Virginia in the US Senate. He was Governor of Virginia from 2006 to 2010, and led the Democratic National Committee (DNC) – the organization of Democratic Party – from 2009 to 2011. He was the Vice Presidential candidate of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, with whom he participated in the election defeat in November 2016.

Kaine is a member of the National Association of Governors, the Southern Governors Association and the Association of Democratic Governors.
