Born in Glennville, Georgia, Swindell is the son of Keith and Betty Carol. His career in music started slowly when he attended Georgia Southern University. While studying marketing, he joined the fraternity Sigma Chi where he met friend Luke Bryan.
In 2007, when Bryan moved to Nashville to pursue his music career, Swindell followed and joined him on the road selling his merchandise. While travelling with Bryan, Swindell continuously wrote songs on the side. Finally in 2010 bagged a deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, and worked to compose songs for their artists. Slowly, his career in music was blooming and his net worth was starting to increase.
Swindell wrote songs for singers including Thomas Rhett, Scotty McCreery, Craig Campbell and friend Luke Bryan, including the hit songs “Just a Sip”, “Roller Coaster”, “Get Me Some of That”, “Carolina Eyes” and “Water Tower Town”. After three successful years writing music, Swindell independently released a song entitled “Chillin’ It”. Surprisingly with the help of radio channel SiriusXM, the song slowly became a hit with listeners, and began rising on various charts, so a new career as a singer started for Swindell. Because of the success of his debut single, Warner Music Nashville signed him to a deal as one of their recording artists.
After the success of “Chillin’ It”, in 2014 Swindell released his first,, self-titled album and became the opening act for his friend Luke Bryan’s tour. His following singles “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight” and “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey”, once again were both well received by his fans and became immediate chart toppers. With the continued success of his songs, Swindell became popular on the country music scene, and his net worth grew even more.
After headlining his own tour in November 2014, the following year Swindell released his second album “You Should Be Here” and once again performed well on the radio and in the charts. The music video that accompanied the single also made an impact among fans, featuring him telling his father’s grave that he was able to sign a record deal.
In terms of his personal life, Swindell is still single, and nothing public is known of his private life.
