Katharine Isobel Murray Wiki Biography
Born Katharine Isabelle Murray on the 2nd November 1981 in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, she is an award-winning actress, best known to the world as Ginger in the horror films “Ginger Snaps” (2000), “Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed” (2004), and “Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning” (2004), among many other differing appearances.
Have you ever wondered how rich Katharine Isabelle is, as of late 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Isabelle’s net worth is as high as $2 million, an amount earned through her successful career in the world of entertainment, active since the late ‘80s. During her career, Katherine has appeared in more than 110 film and TV titles, mostly horror films.
Katharine is the daughter of art director and production designer Graeme Murray – who worked on the TV series “The X-Files”, and for his work receiver two Emmy Awards – and his wife Gail Murray, who was an amateur writer and producer. Katharine has a brother, Joshua, who was a child actor and later became a journalist.
Isabelle’s career started when she was only eight years old; she was cast in the romantic comedy “Cousins”, and the same year also featured in several other productions such as the drama film “The Last Winter”, in which her brother had one of the lead roles. Two years later she starred in the drama film “Yes Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus”, but it wasn’t until 2000 and the the beginning of her professional career in the role of Ginger that Katharine earned praises. She portrayed Ginger in the sequels, and since then has often featured in horror films, including in the 2001 horror “Bones”, while in 2002 she appeared in David Carson’s film “Carrie”, based on the novel by Stephen King, and in 2003 had a role in the horror “Freddy vs. Jason”. Her net worth was rising steadily.
Her next successful appearance was as Stacey in the horror “30 Days of Night: Dark Days” in 2010, directed by Ben Ketai, then in 2011 portrayed Danni in the TV crime-drama series “Endgame”, while in 2012 she was Mary Mason in the horror film “American Mary”, for which she received several awards, including Chainsaw Award for Best Actress. The following year, Katharine starred in the thriller drama “Victims”, and was also given the role of Suzanna Waite in the TV horror drama series “Being Human” (2013-2014), and in 2014 the part of Margot Verger in the TV horror drama series “Hannibal” (2014-2015), which only added to her wealth. In the same year, Katharine appeared in the horror “See No Evil 2”, and in 2015 starred in the action thriller “88”, next to Christopher Lloyd. Most recently, Katharine portrayed Hope in the TV drama series “The Arrangement” (2017), and will star in the sci-fi mystery film “The Green Sea”, which is currently in pre-production.
Regarding her personal life, Katharine tends to keep information about her personal life hidden from the public eyes, therefore, little is known about this modern “Scream Queen”.

Katharine Isobel Murray Quotes
- [On why she didn’t like Freddy vs Jason] I was expecting more from the film, but it’s just the same old-same old. Running around and screaming “No Freddy, don’t.”
- [on ‘American Mary’]. I have some friends who are just too scared to see it. My brother has seen it at least six times and still can’t watch one scene in particular, but my mother made it through the whole thing without any problem at all. My dad was the very first person I went to with the script – to make sure I wasn’t crazy for loving this. I knew if my dad liked it, it was good.

Katharine reluctantly accepted. Yu failed to tell her she would be expected to do the nude scenes, which would spark friction between the two during shooting when she made it clear she would not do the nude scenes.
- She said that when she went to a pharmacy after a day of shooting Ginger Snaps (2000), the people there thought she’d been beaten up since she was still covered in fake blood.
- Katharine refuses to do nude scenes, and has had a body double for every instance where such a scene exists, including the bed and shower scenes in Freddy vs. Jason (2003), the rising from the bed scene in Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning (2004), and the bed scene in Engaged to Kill (2006), to name but three. The same woman body-doubled the latter two.
