Sigmund Esco Jackson Wiki Biography
Sigmund Esco Jackson was born on 4 May 1951. in Gary, Indiana USA, and is a singer and musician best known because he is one of the popular Jackson family, which has been a huge part of the entertainment industry in more ways than one for more than 50 years.
So just how rich is Jackie Jackson? It has been reported by authoritative sources that Jackie’s net worth reaches $1.5 million dollars as of mid-2016, accumulated through his performances as a singer as part of The Jackson Five, and a musician during a career which began in the early ’60s.
So-called Jackie by his grandfather, he grew-up in a poor family, and was highly interested in basketball at school in Gary, and wanted to go into this sport but he did not get the permission of his father, Joseph Jackson, and was forced to choose music instead., when his father formed ‘Jackson Brothers’ in 1964. The band contained brothers and singers Jackie, Tito and Jermaine, and subsequently Marlon and Michael played percussion instruments. After a few years, Joseph designated Michael as the leading singer of the band, and they started to perform under the title ‘The Jackson Five’. Jackie is regarded as a high tenor, and he sang parts solo in a number of The Jackson Five’s hits, including ‘ABC’ and ‘I Want You Back’, and in this way Jackson added to his net worth.
However, in 1973 Jackie Jackson decided to pursue a solo career, and released his first, self-titled solo album under the label of Motown, but it failed to chart. After a few years, in 1976 ‘The Jackson Five’ changed into ‘The Jacksons’ as they began working with Sony Music Entertainment, and Jackie Jackson continued to create a number of music compositions for the band, and his role was significantly increased after Michael Jackson began a solo career. Jackie performed solo songs including ‘Wait’, ‘Time for the Burglar’ and most of the songs in ‘2300 Jackson Street’ album adding to Jackie’s net worth.
Later, the band split up as the brothers decided to pursue solo careers. In 1989, Jackie released two singles – “Cruzin’’ which peaked on the US R&B chart in 58th position, and ‘Stay’ at 39th position. Those two singles were included in ‘Be the One’ album which was released under the Polydor label, but peaked only in 84th position in US R&B chart. Jackie Jackson added to his net worth releasing one non-album single named ‘We Know What’s Going On’ in 2010.
As a co-featured artist together with Jermaine Jackson, he contributed to his son DealZ’s single ‘That’s How I Feel’ in 2011. ‘The Jacksons’ reunited for one special performance which was held in honour of Michael’s 30th anniversary at Madison Square Garden, which also had a very positive impact on Jackson’s net worth too.
In 2009, with Tito, Jermaine and Marlon he starred in “The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty”, a short-lived TV reality series. They subsequently toured in 2012, and have continued intermittently since with moderate success, including in Las Vegas, but still adding to Jackie’s net worth.
In his personal life, Jackie Jackson has married three times; in 1974, to Enid Adren Spann, and the couple had two children before divorcing in 1987. Jackie then married Victoria Triggs in 2001, but they divorced in 2010, and his third marriage to Emily Besselink in 2012 has produced twin boys.has produced twins.
