Jack Giarraputo didn’t become known to the general public until emerging as a producer in the 1990s, so his early life is still something of a mystery.
So just how rich is Jack Giarraputo as of late 2017? Authoritative sources estimate that Giarraputo’s net worth is as high as $50 million, accumulated from his over two decades long career in the movie industry. In addition to that, Jack is also a businessman.
Jack graduated from New York University. Most of his subsequent work has been in the comedy genre. He established a friendship and successful partnership with Adam Sandler, before making his silver screen debut with ‘’Heavyweights’’ in 1995, collaborating alongside Joe Roth and Roger Birnbaum, but which received a negative response from critics, and holds a score of 29% on Rotten Tomatoes. In 1998, his first movie with Adam Sandler entitled ‘’The Waterboy’’ was released for Buena Vista Pictures; grossing over $186 million, it was a huge financial success, but received mixed to negative reviews from critics. Jack collaborated with Adam Sandler once again in 2004, resulting in the romantic comedy ‘’ 50 First Dates’’, which was another financial success for Giarraputo, with Drew Barrymore landing a starring role alongside Sandler.
Jack continued working with Sandler throughout the early 2000s as well. The results weren’t always as successful – the duo went on to create ‘’Eight Crazy Nights’’, which flopped at the box office, failing to cover the budget of the movie. However, they eventually bounced back and created another widely successful film entitled ‘’Click’’, released in June 2006, a science fiction comedy drama earning over $237.7 million at the box office, and being nominated for an Academy Award for Best Makeup, and won the 33rd People’s Choice Awards: Favorite Movie Comedy.
Giarraputo was busy throughout the late 2000s as well; his movies ‘’Big Daddy’’ and ‘’ I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry’’ ended up being nominated for Razzies, awards focused on the worst movies of the year, but nonetheless, the latter was a box office hit earning $186.1 million. In 2007, Jack began working on the television series ‘’Rules of Engagement’’ as executive producer of the series, working on a total of 98 episodes, and which was mostly positively received by the audience, and holds a score of 7.3 out of 10 stars on IMDB.
In 2008, Guirraputo produced ‘’Bedtime Stories’’, a comedy fantasy film for Disney, with Adam Sandler, Kerri Russell and Guy Pierce in starring roles, and grossing $212.9 million. In 2010, the he produced the first part of the franchise ‘’Grown Ups’’, grossing $271.4 million, despite negative reviews and a score of 10% on Rotten Tomatoes. Jack went on to work on ‘’Breaking In’’, a 2011 comedy crime television series broadcast on Fox, and in the same year, Sandler and Jack teamed up to work on ‘’Just Go With It’’, starring Jennifer Anniston and Sandler himself. ‘’Grown Ups 2’’ was released on in 2013 and followed the financial success of the first movie.
Giarraputo’s last movie ‘’Blended’’ was released in 2014. Following the release of which he eventually retired.
