Jonathan Jackson Wiki Biography
Born on 11 May 1982, Jonathan Jackson is an accomplished actor, musician and author, but perhaps best known for his award-winning role as Lucky Spencer in the TV soap opera “General Hospital”. Jackson has found success both on TV and the big screen, during which he has won five Emmy Awards. His career started in 1993.
Have you ever wondered just how rich Jonathan Jackson is, as of late 2016? According to authoritative sources, Jackson’s net worth has been estimated to be over $3 million, mostly due to his time in “General Hospital”, but can also be attributed to his Hollywood career.
Jackson was born in Orlando, Florida USA, although he was raised in Battle Ground, Washington. His mother was an amateur ventriloquist and a business woman, while his father was a family physician and a country musician. Jackson found his passion for acting during a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood in 1991. Along with his brother, Richard Lee, he started taking lessons in Portland, Oregon, before in 1993 they moved part time to Burbank, California, along with their mother. Jackson started off doing commercials, but this only lasted for six months before he was picked to portray Lucky Spencer in “General Hospital”, but he went on to balance his acting and studies, and matriculated high school at 16.
Jackson played Lucky Spencer from 1993 to 1999, which contributed greatly to his current net worth. He found great success on the show, as he was nominated for an Emmy Award six times during his stint on “General Hospital”, winning five of those, and which catapulted him to national stardom. He was a teen heartthrob across the country, and was named one of People’s 50 most beautiful people in 1999.
Jackson took advantage of his soaring stock and scored roles in several films such as “Camp Nowhere” (1994), “Prisoner of Zenda, Inc.” (1996), and “The Deep End of the Ocean” (1999), for all of which he received enormous praise, and which further added to his wealth. During the early 2000s, Jackson continued starring in various films and shows, although he didn’t really find anything as acclaimed as before, until 2002, when he starred in “Tuck Everlasting”. He once again received critical acclaim for his acting, and went on to star in Christopher Nolan`s award-winning “Insomnia” the same year, and in “Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights” (2004). Also, he was selected for the lead role in “Riding the Bullet” (2004), alongside David Arquette and Barbara Hershey. All added to his growing net worth.
In 2009, Jackson made a triumphant return to “General Hospital”, the show that gave him fame and fortune. He went on to win another two Emmy Awards in 2011 and 2012, before leaving the show again. He currently has a role on the show “Nashville” (2012-2016), in which he plays a singer-songwriter.
Jackson didn’t just find success in acting however; he is also an accomplished musician and author. He is the front man of the band Enation, and has had his music featured in various movies and shows, including “General Hospital”.
He is also a published author – his first book, “Book of Solace and Madness” was released in 2012 under the pen name J.S. Jackson. In 2014 he published “The Mystery of Art: Becoming an Artist in the Image of God” – both his band and his books have attributed to his net worth.
Regarding his personal life, Jackson has been married to Lisa Vultaggio since 2002, another General Hospital star. They live in Battle Ground, Washington, where they raise their three children. Jackson was also raised as a Christian, and is very open about his faith. Jackson and his family were baptized into the Orthodox Church in 2012. He has used faith to show the world his good character, unlike the majority of actors. This has helped him land roles, and further increase his wealth.
